Recap:

Kakashi moves beside me and lightly taps my head, "Are you ok?" I look up at Kakashi and flinch slightly when I see intense concern in his eye. Nodding my head slowly, I begin to follow after the others, "I'm fine, nii-san. A lot has happened in the past few days, especially me arriving in this strange land unexpectedly."

Kakashi nods his head knowingly, "I understand. Well come on, otouto. Let's finish this mission before we get any more surprises." Smiling, we both begin to walk faster so as to catch up to others and head to the bridge builder's home.

Hunter's POV

As the sun began to set, our small band of travelers came upon a lone house sitting on the edge of the water. I slowed down to allow the others to enter the house first before I made my way into what seemed to be a small living room. Seeming to sense my hesitation, Kakashi turned back to me with a raised eyebrow, "Are you okay, Hunter?" Nodding my head, I told him that I was simply tired from the unexpected fight with a rogue ninja.

Once we had settled into the quaint house, Tazuna introduced us to his daughter, Tsunami, and her son, Inari, before offering us dinner for getting him back home safely. Naruto continuously argued with Sasuke over who was stronger while Sakura looked on with hearts in her eyes. I need to talk to her about her obsession with Sasuke. Moving away from the group, I made my way out of the room to where Kakashi was sitting in the kitchen.

"I think that I am going to go to bed early tonight. I'll be outside," I said turning around to head out the door. Kakashi lightly put a hand on my shoulder and turned me around to face him. "You don't have to do that, you know. Everyone is sharing a room, so you can just stay with me." I silently chuckled under my breath knowing that Kakashi wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. "Fine, ani. Can we keep the window open though?" I don't want him to know that I do not like to be closed in at night.

Kakashi looked me in the eyes for a long moment before nodding his head. "Sure, I understand." Smiling at him, I took a seat on one of the couches as they began to discuss the arrangements for the night.

Kakashi's POV

As I regained awareness of my surroundings, I found that the Sun's rays had found a way through the curtains and were currently shining directly into my eye. Wincing slightly, I moved to sit up and stretch before suddenly feeling a sense of dread spread through my body. What is it? What have I forgotten this time? Shaking the last of sleep from my body, I slowly made my way over to Hunter to wake him up. Opening my eye, I found his bed to be empty and neatly piled in the corner. Where is he? Stopping the sudden panic from rising in my chest, I made my way to the window and looked out into the yard.

Sitting on the ground and facing the rising Sun, there was Hunter...meditating? Raising an eyebrow, I jumped swiftly down into the yard and walked over to him. I sat down beside him and began to meditate with him as the Sun continued to rise over the glistening water. "You're probably surprised that I am meditating at all and so early in the morning."
