Hunter's POV

.................RING.....................RING..........................RING.............................RING..................................

I suddenly jerk awake at the sound of my alarm clock going off and slam down on the snooze button with enough force that it broke into pieces. As I slowly woke up and shook off the doziness, I looked around in the darkness until my eyes began to focus and clear. As soon as my head cleared of the fogginess, I realized that I was still in my room. Wait, what happened? I thought I was outside laying on the grass. I soon realized that it had all been a dream although it had seemed to be so real. I sighed and laid back down in my bed and looked up at the ceiling.

Why do I keep having the same dream? Will it ever change to something that may actually happen in real life? I could do with some good luck right about now in my life.

I was about to doze off again when my best friend, Riley, suddenly barged into my room. "Wake up, Hunter!! We have school today, remember?" She put her hands on her hips as she glared down at my lazy expression. I sighed and slowly get out of bed, "Riley, remember when I told you that it is rude to barge into people's rooms without knocking?" She cocks her head to the side trying to remember. "This is one of those times," I said as I stretched my back and arms.

Riley stiffens as she slowly looks at my chest and I realized that I didn't have a shirt on. She blushes as she turns her head to face the window. "Uhmm...just hurry up and get ready so we can walk to school together," she said waving her hand toward the bathroom door hastily.

I laugh at her shyness and mess up her hair as I walk by toward the bathroom to take a shower. "It's okay Riley. We've known each other our entire lives and you know I'm not like that in any way." She sighs and walks by me but not before softly replying, "I know, Hunter."

I look at her retreating back as she walked down the stairs. I sigh and quickly go to take a shower before getting dressed in the uniform we have to wear for school. It was a simple burgundy vest with a light blue long sleeved shirt underneath and a burgundy and white tie. [look up the uniform for Tower Prep students and you will get an idea] I mean I like the uniform because it went with my style but sometimes I just couldn't stand getting up in the morning and having to put it on. I really don't like complicated things, they frustrate me too much.

I looked at myself in the mirror and analyzed my black hair that seemed to have a mind of its own and my piercing blue eyes that told anyone to back off and not mess with me. As I was about to punch the mirror, my fist paused before it could make contact as I suddenly remembered a song that my older brother used to sing to himself whenever he thought I wasn't listening.
