(A/N: Your comments are the best lol. Thank you all for the support! I'm trying to keep up with the chapters as I have the prompts already written out for Part 1 and a little of Part 2, but I'm moving to Detroit to start work and college, so I'll be very busy :/. I will still write! If I disappear for a while though, that'll be why. Have a good day my peeps!)
After dinner, Alcina made everyone go to bed for the night. Michael had his own room, but he gave me the puppy eyes after I told him he couldn't sleep in mine so I caved. He was my boy after all.
That night, I read him the story of Beauty and the Beast. He made comparisons to our current situation without realizing it and made me chuckle. (A/N: I see your comments my dudes ;) I love y'all)
"Alrighty, kid, time for bed. Go brush your teeth and then come back and lay down." I said as I yawned.
"Okay, mama." He jumped off the bed and ran into the bathroom with such enthusiasm it made me wonder if he was going to have a restless night. I sighed at the thought.
After he came back and laid down, I tucked him in and waited patiently for him to fall asleep. Surprisingly, he fell asleep in less than 10 minutes, so I carefully got up and walked out of the room to go for a walk. Unsurprisingly, I felt a comforting presence walking alongside me not too long after.
"Can you not sleep, my dear?" Her soothing voice sounded from beside me.
I shook my head and grumbled, "It's the nightmares. I always have the same one of me jumping off a cliff and right before I land on the ground, I wake up. I hate the feeling."
Alcina hummed and put a gentle hand on my shoulder. "Perhaps some fresh air would do you well?"
I smiled, something I'd been doing a lot more since I got here, and nodded. "That would be great, my Lady."
She chuckled at the use of her formal title and led me to a huge terrace. I tilted my head to the darkened sky and gawked. I'd never been to this small part of the castle.
"Wow." I whispered, staring at the dozens of stars that were scattered about. "I've never seen this many stars in the States. The view is breathtaking." I added, still staring at them and trying to memorize the patterns as best as I could.
Alcina was quiet for a moment, but I felt her eyes on me as she eventually spoke in tone so quiet, I wondered if she meant for me to hear her. "Indeed."
I turned my head to the side and met her beautiful eyes. Her lips curled up a bit as we took each other in. "I have a feeling you weren't talking about the sky."
She chuckled and cupped my shin as she leaned down to gently put her forehead against mine. "I was not."
Being this close to her felt like my personal heaven. Her perfume wafted around me and made me close my eyes in bliss, taking in her unique scent. This moment would forever stick with me, even if I somehow ended up with amnesia (:'D). I would never forget her or my family. I couldn't, even if I wanted to.
I felt her forehead retreat, but then soft lips pressed to mine as the hand that cupped my cheek moved to wrap around the back of my head to bring me closer to her. With my eyes remaining closed, I sighed in content, not feeling myself falling asleep. While I fell into the abyss, I could just barely feel her pick me up and carry me somewhere.
Luckily, I didn't have nightmares that night for some odd reason. What drove them away? I could only hope that my answer for sleeping soundly would be Alcina. That question would have to be for another day, though.

When I woke up the next morning, I expected to see Michael dangling off the side of the bed, however, I instead woke up to someone...taller. And not hanging off the bed in danger of falling off completely.
