College Assignment (Part 5)

You laugh and lay down with Josh. "So when is your assignment due?" Josh asks looking over to you. You look at him. "Well every assignment is different it depends on when you start and when or if the artist is available. So since I started this week it would be due in about uhm- maybe two weeks? A month the most" He raised his eyebrows. "Well damn you have plenty of time! Why are you in a rush for?" You shrug your shoulders. "I don't know I mean I'm in a city I hardly know. I'm single and all by myself I just don't want to be out here for too long" He lays on his side and pits his head on his hand. "What do you mean? You're welcome to stay with my brothers and I. We don't mind. We have a few more shows, you can come on tour with us! Why see one show when you can see multiple? Maybe it'll count as extra credit" You gasp. "Josh no way. You hardly know me I mean what if I was a psycho?" He grins. "Well if you were a psycho I would say you're one of the most prettiest psychos I've ever seen. I mean how do you know I'm not a psycho?" You squint your eyes. "Shut up!" You laugh. He laughs with you. "No seriously! I mean if you were a psycho you wouldn't know it so you're not. Right?!" You nod your head. "Very clever and same with you right?" You say pointing at him. He raise his eyebrows. "I dunno I mean I guess your gunna have to find that out. Sadly you have to leave soon though so you won't really know me huh?" He bites his lip. You look down and itch your head. "I don't know. Maybe I'll stay a bit longer it depends" He gives you a serious face. "With what? I mean you're young, on a trip, I mean what have you got to lose? You have the opportunity to do something with people you enjoy why wouldn't you want to take that time and cherish it?" You sit up. "Well don't get me wrong I'm enjoying every moment with you, your brothers, and Mackenzie but I don't know I'm not use to being away from home for too long long" He nods his head. "I get that I mean that's how I feel sometimes too. I miss home... hey! Maybe I can show you my hometown! It's a few hours away but it'll be fun! You can get to know your favorite artists town to headline it if you want" You bite your lip. "Well I- ugh I don't know" He then gently places your hand on yours. "Sometimes you gotta get out of your comfort zone y/n. It's not easy but as long as you have people by your side to support you that's what makes the adventure. I'm just saying" The warmth of his hand made you calm down. It was so gentle yet strong at the same time. You look up at him as he sits up giving you the most gentle smile. You take a deep breath. "Okay Josh I'll go check it out but it's up in the air for how long okay?" He jumps up and smiles. "Of course y/n. You're taking a big step here. I'm happy for you. You won't regret it. You blush as he still held your hand. "Sorry" He says embarrassed. You smile. "It's no big deal. It was comforting. Thank you" Sam calls you and Josh. "The coffees ready!" You all get up and sit at the table. "So y/n are you staying with us for a bit longer or you gonna leave?" Jake asks sipping his coffee. You look over at Josh and he smiles. "Well I've decided to stay a bit longer. Josh insisted on taking me to your hometown" Jake nodded his head. "I wouldn't mind. We haven't been there for a while" Sam and Danny agree. Same with Mackenzie. "We can pick your things up at the hotel. You don't need that room anymore. You got a whole bus!" Josh says with excitement. You shake your head. "You sure about this?" You ask with a iffy face. Josh hits the table with his fist. "Absolutely y/n!" Sam sips his coffee. "Chill out Josh don't break the table damn" Josh shook his head. I was just being dramatic" Jake mumbled. "Yeah as always. Nothing new" Josh squinted his eyes at Jake. Jake shrugs his shoulders and sips his coffee. You head to your hotel and check out. You couldn't believe that you were going to be on tour with the boys for a bit. You wondered why the boys were being suspicious with Josh and you. Embarrassing him and making little comments. You wondered, did he like you? You didn't want to think to much about it and get your hopes up. You shake your head and head to the bus. It was going to be an unpredictable ride.
