A lot of things happen, the truth for the humanity is being uncover for the last 6 months, but it takes a lot of soldier's lives. Retaking Shiganshina was never easy. Survey Corps loses their Commander Erwin Smith, and Hange takes over the position. . . .
While being busy transferring to her new office, Hange saw Levi at the garden. She approaches him like she always does. They rely on each other since Erwin is gone.
"Let's go have a lunch!" Hange said to Levi who seem spacing out.
She didn't get any responses.
"Say something or else you'll treat me!" She warns him.
"You're the commander now... you have much money than me..." Levi said blankly.
"Come on!" Hange said and sighed.
"If only Erwin was here...Why did he even choose me for this!?" She exclaimed.
"How are your eyes?" Levi asked.
Well, Hange had her eyes damages after the Battle in Shiganshina.
"I'm getting used to it... this eye patch..." She said and then her voice cracks.
"I'm sorry..." Levi said while comforting Hange who loses Moblit after saving her.
"That bastard... I am the one who should have die!" She shouted in frustration.
Losing someone important to you is a terrible feeling.
"Don't say that, Hange. Everything has a reason. He loves you so much to the point that he sacrifices himself for you. And that thing is what I should have done for her..." Levi said in sadness.
"I'll get going now, I will be visiting them.." He added and walked away.
Well, there is a cemetery built for the scouts. His squad is there, but unfortunately, their bodies isn't laying there since it didn't get recovered even the Shiganshina district was retaken.

Hange's POV
After hours of cleaning, I decided to continue this tomorrow. I said my goodbye to the scouts who helped me this day. In exhaustion, I sat on the chair that used to be for Erwin.
I started to have a moment alone to realize everything. I see my position now as a big responsibility for the humanity. I never imagined that I would lead this regiment. But if the lives of the people important to me is what this cause, I'd rather be a simple soldier fighting together with them.
I let out a deep sighed. I started to open randomly the drawers in the desk to see if there is something to read, when I notice a folder having a label "Special Operation Squad".
Out of my curiosity, and longing for my deceased friends, I took out the folder. To my surprise, a journal was also attached to it.
I first open the folder, and I saw Petra, Eld, Gunther and Oluo's biography containing some basic information.
"Oh... shortie should see this..." I thought to myself.
I immediately turn my attention to the journal, it seems that this is Erwin's.
"This is the Commander of Survey Corps, Erwin Smith. This is where I will put my plans that I can't share to anyone."
This is the message in the first pages. I bet Erwin do this all the time since he can't really trust anyone.
I turned the pages one by one, nothing interesting. Ugh!
I'm starting to get bored. I was about to close the journal, when I saw a page saying,
"I don't want to do this to him, but humanity needs someone like them."
My eyes immediately widens as I have read that phrase. What is he talking about?
"Special Operation Squad, led by Levi, their capabilities are different from the others."
"I started to talk to them about my plan, but it seems that they are not getting it."
"Finally, they all agree. There is still future for the humanity. I need to prove that my theory is true."

"The serum is in their body now, I have my full hope that it will really works when something happens to them."
"That serum should regenerate their body once they get injured really bad."
"She knows her priority. She will do what is convenient for the both of them. I hope Levi can forgive me."
"A traitor. My intuition is true. This expedition will gain a lot in the future. I didn't expect Levi would let their body get thrown. It seems that all of this are going along with the plan."
"I hope they are okay by now. How far did the four of you go?"
These are the things that I have read in the journal. Am I dreaming? What is this Erwin?
I don't know what to feel. It's a mixed emotion. There is a high possibility that they survived based on what Erwin stated about that serum.
I come to think of what I should do next. I need more time to think about telling them this. Especially, Levi, as much as I want to tell him about them, it's not the time to have mistakes.
I leave the office with a heavy heart carrying the files and journal that I have found.
