14 - The truth

George had started walking near the park and had arrive at 7:02pm.

It was a spot near the park that was just a flower field.

He slowly walked over, as he noticed Dream already waiting for him.

"Hey George." He heard Dream say hesitantly as he walked up to him.

There was no answer, as George just looked down

"Look I want to figure things out." (D)

"Will you please say something?" (D)

"What do you need?" (G)

"Can we please just talk?" (D)

"Yea whatever." (G)

"I don't want things to be weird between us George, can we work this out please?" (D)

Again there was just silence from George

"I- I have a girlfriend I'm sorry." (D)

"Mhm," (G)

"G-George I-" nothing came out after that it was just quiet as Dream looked at George.

"W-what?" (G)

Dream didn't respond, he just kept his eyes locked on George.

"Dream i-it's fine" George said as he quickly looked away from Dream's gaze.

George felt a hand slowly grab his chin making him look up.

Again, Dream stared at him and before George got a chance to say anything he felt a pair of lips push against his.

George was I shock but soon kissed back as he realized what had happened.

They both moved their lips in sync, something neither of them wanted to end.

But eventually George had pulled away, as he looked up into Dream's eyes.

"D-Dream you have a girlfriend.." (G)

"Uhm- yea right.. I-I'm sorry." (D)

Dream felt like he was on the verge of crying, as he looked at George.

"Y-you shouldn't do this." (G)

Dream just stayed quiet as he looked at George.

"S-sorry um, I-I should leave" (D)

"Dream- wait," (G)

Dream didn't listen, he just walked away leaving George standing in the field.

Once Dream had left George immediately started crying as he felt like he ruined all his chances with him.

I love him but this isn't right.

Does he love me then?

He doesn't love me.

It was just a mistake.

George slowly walked out of the field as he headed home with tear-filled eyes.

Once he walked through the door he was greeted by his sister.

"Hey how'd it g-" (H)

"What happened?" She had asked George as she slowly grabbed his hands and sat him down on the couch.

"H-he kissed me." (G)

"Isn't that a good thing?" (H)

"H-he has a girlfriend, I feel terrible about it." (G)

"Look he likes you, maybe figure something out. I mean maybe Layla isn't for him." (H)

"I-I know there can be something but I feel horrible. And I probably ruined all my chances with him when I kissed back." (G)

Heather didn't say anything, she just wrapped George in a hug.

Dream's POV

After everything that had happened, I had gone over to Sapnap's, hoping he would be able to help.

I arrived outside and knocked on the door as I waited with my eyes full of tears.

Eventually Sapnap had answered and immediately noticed I had been crying.

"Hey what happened Dream?" (S)

"I-I talked with George." (D)

"What went wrong?" (S)

"I kissed him sap," (D)

"Aren't you dating Layla?" (S)

"Yes that's why I feel horrible about it." (D)

"I think I'm in love with him but I'm still with Layla." (D)

"Look Dream, if you really think you're in love with George then I think you should tell him." (S)

"I want to, but I can't just leave Layla." (D)

"I think you should be with someone you actually love, I mean do you love Layla?" (S)

"I-I don't love her, I never loved her. I just felt horrible denying her date." (D)

"Dream, it's better if you'd date someone you actually love, like George." (S)

"I guess you right, but how am I supposed to break things off with her?" (D)

"I think it's better if you talk to her and tell her the truth." (S)

"Okay," (D)

"You can stay here tonight if you'd like." (S)

"Alright thanks sap" (D)

"Mhm" Sapnap hummed as he pulled Dream into a hug.
