29 - Orchids

Dream's POV

After five minutes of driving I had arrived at George's house.

I walked up to the nicely painted blue house with the orchids in my hand. After a few moments of standing at the front door I reluctantly knocked.

Within a few seconds the door flew open and I saw George with a smile on his face.

I didn't know what to say as I stood, looking at him before finally saying something.

"H-hey!"
"I Uhm I got you these flowers"
"I know they are your favorites,"

"Thank you!" He said with the smile growing wider on his face if that was even possible.

I handed him the flowers as he pulled me in for a slight kiss which I gladly kissed back.

"Um well we should get going,"
"We don't want to be late."

"Alright!"
"Just give me a second,"

He walked back to a counter with the flowers and placed them in a vase.

We were finally in the car as I started driving to the restaurant.

"Where are you taking me?!"

"You'll have to wait and see."

"Oh come on, just tell me!"

I just let out a slight giggle at the fact he was acting so childish as I kept driving.

After not too long we had finally arrived outside the restaurant.

I saw George look out to the restaurant, a glint in his eyes with a huge smile like a kid on Christmas.

I sat looking at him for a moment, seeing how excited he was before I finally started to step out of the car.

We both were out of the car and I grabbed George's hand as we walked into the restaurant near the front desk.

"Welcome!" The person at the front desk said, smiling.

"Hey could we get a table for two?"

"Of course! Follow me gentlemen."

Once they took us to the table we both started looking through the menu we were handed.

George sat looking at the menu with a concerned expression.

"Are you alright-?"

"Yea, everything's just so expensive." He said letting out a slight giggle. "I just don't want to spend a lot"

"It's fine George, get whatever you want."

"It's too expensive."
"A-are you sure? "

"Mhm"

He just smiled at me with a grateful look as he continued to look through the menu.

Eventually a waitress arrived at our table.

"Hey I'll be your server for today!"
"What would you like to drink?"

George was the first to answer.
"I'll just have a water"

"Alright," she said as she wrote it down on the notepad

"And what would you like?" She said staring back up at me.

"I'll also have a water."

"Okay,"
"Are you two ready to order or do you need more time."

We both looked at each other for reassurance.

"Um I'll take the chicken salad"

"And I'll have the steak."

"Mhm, alright is that all?"

"Yea that's it"

"Okay we'll get started on that!"

And with that, she had walked away.

"Why'd you take me to such an expensive place?!"

"Because.. it's our first date and I want it to go well, I also have something planned for later."

"Ooooh, what is it!?"

"You're so impatient," I said, playfully rolling my eyes.

He eventually gave up asking, after I wouldn't say anything. We continued having another conversation as we waited for our food.

We both walked outside, hand in hand to the car.

I started up the car and drove to the small flower field.

"You ready?"

"Mhm"
"Now Will you please tell me where we're going now!?"

"You'll see in a few minutes,"
"We're almost there"

After another 5 minutes of driving we finally arrived to the place.

"What is this place!?"
"Are you going to kidnap me or something?" He said grinning as I led the way while we held hands.

I just laughed as we found the place that was full of flowers.

"This is amazing!"

"Mhm, we're going to stargaze." I said as we both sat down.

We looked at all the starts and the moon after the sun had already set.

George rested his head on my chest as I held his hand in mine.

We sat in a comfortable silence for a while.

But after around 20 minutes I finally had the courage to ask him.

"H-hey George-" (D)

"Hm?" He hummed back in response

"Can I ask you something?" (D)

"Mhm"
"Whatsup?" (G)

He removed his head from my chest to look back up at me.

"W-will you-"

He stared with a confused expression, as if waiting for me to finish the question.

"Will you be my b-boyfriend?"
