Doesn't it hurt? Not being able to love completely?
Doesn't it hurt? Drinking rain water absentmindedly?
And I know it hurts when you float into the void, listlessly.
And nobody is there to light the funeral pyre, to shed some tears secretly.

And it hurts when you search for the shield in everyone's eyes.
But all you find are swords, impaling you with their aimless lies.
It hurts when you find your way through the sunlight;
Only to face another battlefield,
yet another fight.

It hurts when you search for
your soul;
Only to discover some flesh eating ghouls.
Running through the lost city, killing people who've forgotten their roles.
Coming across millions of swords-
Flipping thousands of chessboards.

It hurts when you frantically search for a mirror;
Only to find the broken door
Which used to float you to your soul.
Help me, I've forgotten my role.
In this world, in the second reality
That I've come across.
Thrown into the void of infinity.

Help me, I cant see anymore.
My shield, where are you?
portami con te,
mi amore.
