Bonnie and Lily ran down the halls as they heard the bell rang
"Shit bon, we just got back and now we're late" Lily laughed out and she ran next to Bonnie trying to find Alaric's classroom
"Like you care about being late" Bonnie teased as they reached the door. She looked at Bonnie to make sure she was okay before they head inside. Bonnie smiled reassuringly before she opened the door for them both
"Sorry we're late." Bonnie said walking in, Lily closing the door behind them
"Well looks like we will be at full occupancy today. Welcome home, Bonnie, Lilith" Alaric said smiling over at both girls who sat down in their desks
Elena smiled over at Bonnie making her smile back but then her smile faded when she saw Stefan and looked away from the pair
Elena noticed this and looked at Stefan.
Lily sat In front so she didn't see this interaction. But she was goofing off with her friends around her.

Bonnie was walking outside of the school when Elena spotted her and ran over.
"Bonnie," Elena called out as she walked next to her
"Hey" Bonnie said as she continued to walk
" hey I. Um tried to grab you after class but you'd already taken off... how are you? How's your family?" Elena said making Bonnie stop and turn to her
"We're dealing, it's been hard. Lily made the process easier for the rest of the family.. for me" Bonnie said with a slight smile
"Everyone here really missed the both of you" Elena said trying to meet Bonnie's eyes
"Yeah, I just had so much to deal with after grams funeral and honestly after you told Lily that the tomb spell failed I just didn't really want to come back." Bonnie confessed as she remembered what she heard from Lily's phone call with Elena(which was on speaker)
"I hope you understand why I called. I wanted you to know before you came home" Elena said
"Yeah, I understand why. I just wish I didn't know" Bonnie said making Elena sigh
" I know it's been really hard—" Elena tried to say when she was cut off by Caroline and Lilith coming toward them
"Bonnie! Thank god you're home! I know we talked everyday but I missed you! The both of you! How are you doing?" Caroline said as she hugged Bonnie. Lilith saw the look on Elena's face when Caroline said that her and Bonnie talked everyday so she went toward her and flung a hand in her shoulder and kissed her head
