Lily felt her body being shaken making her groan and clutch her head. She opened her eyes and saw that her hands and legs were tied up. She shot up and looked around her, she saw Elena there with a scared look
"Whe—" Lily started but was stopped by Elena shushing her and pointing to her ear and pointed toward the door. She started to remove the ropes from Lily.
"So you called him?" They heard a man say
"No. I called one of his contacts. You know how this works." A girl's voice was also heard
"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" The man said
Elijah ...where have I heard that?
"They say he got it." The girl said
Elena stood up and started to silently walk toward the door. Lily took her hand and shook her head as a no. Elena just tugged her with her.
"Wonderful. And what?" The man said
" so, that's it, Trevor. He's either got it or he didn't. We just have to wait" the girl said to Trevor
"Look, it's not too late. We can leave her here. We don't have to go through with this." Trevor said
"I'm sick of running," she said
"Yeah? Well, running keeps us from dying" Trevor remarked
"Elijah is old school. If he accepts our deal, we're free" she said. Elena stepped on a floorboard that creaked which made them both turn and look at them
"You! There's nothing around here for miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong. Understand?" Rose threatened as Lily stood in front of Elena, pulling her back
"Who's Elijah?" Elena said behind Lily
"He's your worst nightmare," Rose said as she walked away
Elena gripped Lily's dress.
"Can you link anyone?" Elena whispered
Lily's head was still throbbing from the hit she received.
"It will take a moment but, I will" Lily whispered back
Elena followed Rose, taking Lily with her. They walked into a big space filled with books and windows
"Why are we here?" Elena asked
"You keep asking me these questions like I'm gonna answer them," Rose said cleaning things up around her
"Why won't you, I mean we're basically going to be here for a while. Why not chit chat" Lily said looking around
"You can at least tell us what you want with me," Elena said
"I personally want nothing. I'm just a delivery service" Rose said
