^^^Totally didn't try and call that number once even though I knew it wouldn't work.
Today is the 18th of July, the day I go to New York City to meet the people at Ralph Lauren and see where I would be working. It was Corey's birthday the other day, the 16th of July, and that should've been a good day, but he wasn't very happy, he's tried to be happy for me since I told him I was going to take the job, but the closer we got to today, the more sad he's become. Corey's coming with me today, I want to spend as much time as possible with him before I leave. Ralph Lauren are even paying half of the money for the apartment I'm going to live in, Corey and I have come up with the other half. Anyway, we had to take the train all the way from California to New York City. I was really nervous, I'd spent ages getting ready this morning, trying to fix my hair and makeup perfectly, and wearing my best clothes. I held Corey's hand tight all the way to New York, Corey didn't say a word for the entire journey.
When we got the the Ralph Lauren head office, Corey hesitated before going inside.
"Are you coming in?" I asked.
"Maybe I shouldn't...no, I'll meet you here at...what time are you done?"
"4pm."
"Ok, I'll meet you here at 4pm."
"But where are you gonna go?"
"I don't know...just around. See you, you're gonna do great." Corey smiled, kissing me on the cheek and leaving before I could say a word. I went inside and took the elevator up to the floor I was supposed to be meeting my future employer...
Corey's POV:
Walking away from Y/n, I felt like a real dick. She wanted me here today to support her, she's always been there to support me, she was even there at the court hearing of my emancipation. But I had my reasons, I wanted to get her something special, something to show how much I really do appreciate her...
Y/n's POV:
In theory, this shouldn't be too hard. I just have to act like a normal human being, long enough for them to think I'll be good for the job. It's probably good thing Corey bailed on me, he's weirder than I am...sort of.
"So obviously this is the head office, and you'll be working in one of our studios in the basement." the lady who was showing me around, Maggie, told me.
"Yeah...yeah obviously." I nodded, trying to sound like I had a clue about any of this.
I'll be honest, for most of my tour, I wasn't really listening, I was just amazed that I'd been asked to work in a place like this.
"So if you're willing, could you start Monday in 2 weeks time?" Maggie asked, and I zoned back into the conversation.
"Yes! Yes I'd love to! Thank you so much!"
"You're welcome, thanks for joining us today." Maggie smiled, shaking my hand, and I went to go meet Corey outside. When I got outside the building, he wasn't there yet, and it was already 10 minutes past! I rolled my eyes and stood there waiting for another 15 minutes until he finally appeared.
"Corey where have you been?!" I asked, exasperated.
"Sorry...sorry, I had to pay for something and the line was really long." Corey said, trying to catch his breath.
"Oh really? And what did you have to pay for?"
"This, I got you something." Corey said, taking a small box out of his pocket and handing it to me, I opened it, and found a delicate necklace with a silver heart and my initials engraved into it.

I gasped a little, I hadn't expected him to be getting something for me!
"Corey it's beautiful! I love it, thank you!" I exclaimed, kissing him softly on the lips.
Corey blushed, "You're welcome." he mumbled, smiling shyly. "Oh, and I...um...I had something to tell you but...you didn't want to get this job to have time away from me or take a break from me did you?" he asked.
"No of course not!"
"Ok good because...well you know I'm in that movie at the minute right?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, it's still shooting for the next 3 weeks but after that...I could move out here with you? Only if you want though." Corey looked cutely nervous.
I laughed, "Corey of course I want you to! It does kinda spoil my plans to get with that guy I know works at Ralph Lauren but-"
"What?"
"I'm kidding!" I chuckled, kissing Corey's cheek again, "Yes I want you to move out here with me and I'll miss you until you do. I start Monday in 2 weeks time though."
"I'll miss you so much!" Corey enveloped me in a tight hug, "But I know you'll do great."
"Thanks, same to you." I whispered, messing up his hair.
