It turns out I didn't need to spend much time at all finding out anything about Michael, because about a week after our first meeting, he left to go back to Italy, some "family drama" apparently. This relaxed both Coreys immensely, they finally had no one trying to sabotage either of them. Filming for Dream a Little Dream was over, and while Corey auditioned for more roles, we both got to spend a lot more time together.
"Corey?" I mumbled one night.
"Yes?"
"I love you, and I finally believe it when you say you love me."
Corey smiled in the dark, rolling over to put his arms around me, "I love you too, and I'm so happy you finally know that."
Of course we would still get jealous once in a while, but after everything that had happened, we'd still stayed together, and I trusted him more than ever.
