I was about 2/3 of the way through the second 'Back To The Future' when there was a knock at my door. I got up, opened the door, and there was Corey.
"Hi." he mumbled, looking at the floor.
"Hey, come in." I opened the door wider, then I went and sat on my bed and Corey sat down beside me. "You ready to hear me explain?" I asked, softly. Corey nodded, biting his lip.
"Ok so, earlier on, just after filming wrapped, Corey H came into the costume department because he'd ripped his jacket. I stitched it up, and he sat next to me while I was doing it. Then, the director came in, and he said how Corey H had the cute blonde look going for him and so they might add in a kissing scene for his character. Corey H said that he'd never done a kissing scene before, so the director said he should practice on somebody. I was the nearest person, so he said it should be me. Corey H looked like he didn't want to refuse, because the director might be angry, so we kissed, and that was when you walked in." I told him, Corey stayed quiet for a second.
"You could have just said no." he whispered, looking up at me. I saw he had tears in his eyes and I put my arm around him.
"Yeah, I know. I wasn't thinking properly, I'm sorry."
"It's ok. Did...did that really happen though?"
"Yeah of course! Why would I lie to you?"
"I don't know, it's just...he has got that cute blonde thing going for him, and he's more attractive than I am, and maybe...maybe you like that more than...than you like me." Corey was struggling to get his words out, and I knew he was on the verge of crying properly.
"Corey." I said gently, "Why would I like him more than you? I've only just met him. Maybe he has got blonde hair, blue eyes and freckles, but maybe I'm not into that. Don't think about yourself like that. I love you how you are, brown hair and brown eyes. Are you always that insecure? Like if you see someone I'd think is attractive?"
Corey shrugged, "Maybe."
I hugged him, letting him bury his face in my shoulder, like he'd let me do just earlier today. "Well, the only time you ever need to worry about that is if Michael J Fox comes along and asks me out, ok?" I didn't mean that obviously, and Corey knew that, but he just nodded, and I knew he was crying.
"It's ok." I whispered, I ran my fingers through his hair and held him close to me while he cried.
"I'm sorry I'm being such a crybaby." He muttered, when he'd stopped crying so much.
I laughed, "Trust me, you are not the crybaby here." Out of all the years I've known him, I've seen Corey properly cry twice (including this time) and kind of cry once, and he must have seen me cry about 3000 times. I cry when I'm sad, I cry when I'm angry, I cry when I'm happy, I am the ultimate crybaby.
Corey laughed a little, "Yeah I guess that's true."
"You weren't supposed to agree with me! Seriously though, I love you, and I wouldn't ditch you for Michael J Fox."
"I love you too." Corey smiled, and kissed my forehead. The next day, Corey was still a little cool with Corey H. They were both with me in the costume department while I added the finishing touches to Star's costume, Corey H actually seemed interested in what I was doing. He was asking loads of questions and, of course, cracking awful jokes: "Hey Y/n, did you know my tailor became a lawyer?"
"No I did not know that."
"Yeah, now he's sewing everyone."
"Oh God, that was awful."
"I pride myself on it." Corey H grinned. Corey was in the corner, reading his script, and he looked up and rolled his eyes slightly. Ah, still jealous then.
"You know Corey," I said loudly to Corey H "I think Corey's jealous of you." it was a pretty shady move of me, but he seriously had no need to be jealous, and I'd told him that. Corey looked up quickly, let's just say that if looks could kill, I'd be stone cold dead.
Corey H shrugged, "Everyone gets jealous, I'm jealous of eggs."
"Oh God, why?"
"They get laid a lot more than I do." he smirked. I have to hand it to him, he's a quick thinker. Even Corey smiled at that one. About 30 seconds later, the drama-causing director came in,
"Corey Feldman, you ready? You need to be on in a second."
"Yeah I'm ready." Corey got up and started walking out, he hesitated when he got to the door, looking from me to Corey H, realising that I was going to be alone with him. Then, he took a deep breath, smiled at me, and left the room. Both Corey H and I knew what he'd been thinking, and we looked away from each other awkwardly.
"So uh, how...how you doing?" he asked, going painfully red.
"Good...good, you?"
"Yeah, I'm...I'm good. Look, this is really awkward, do you want to just go out somewhere?"
I shook my head, "I don't think we should, Corey coming back to an empty room and knowing we're out together would not make him want to trust me."
"Good point. But...he can't decide what you do right? I mean, you have friends. Don't you think he's overreacting a little?"
"Corey, he walked in on us kissing. I think he has a right to be a little cautious." I said, folding my arms.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. But when is he, you know, not going to be cautious?"
"Maybe you should hang out with him a little more, you're friends already right? Friends trust each other."
"That's a pretty good idea, maybe I will."
I smiled, "That's good, now back to your sewing lessons."
I let Corey H help me work on Marko's jacket, running the risk that he'd completely ruin it, so by the time Corey came back with the director, Corey H and I were innocently working on a costume together.
"Hey Corey," the director said, addressing Corey H, "We've figured out a way to fit in a kissing scene for you, and if you want, we could even try to get Y/n in to be the girl that you kiss. What do you think?"
Corey's eyes widened, and he looked at me, pleadingly.
Corey H looked at me, as if to say 'Say something! Why aren't you saying anything?!'
"Um..." he began, he looked at Corey, who was looking at him now, and silently begging him to say no.
"I...I don't know." Corey H said, clearly cracking under the pressure. "I'll...I'll think about it."
"Ok, get back to me as soon as you can."
"Yeah...yeah I will..."
With that, the director left the room, and Corey H slumped back down into his seat, flushing bright red and staring hard at the floor.Nice one Haim, nice one.
(A/N: Drama is on it's way, I promise. ;) Thanks for reading!☺️)
