I woke up with a start, from a nightmare. It was about Eren. I don't quite remember exactly what happened though.
I realized I was crying, and tried to quiet down so I wouldn't wake up Eren. But it was too late.
"Y/n..? Hey, are you ok?" He asked gently. He touched my cheek, wiping off the fresh tears.
My eyes were puffy and had dark bags under them, and my lip quivered.
"I'm not Eren." I said honestly. I wasn't ok, and I wasn't going to lie about it.
"Did you have a nightmare?" He asked.
I nodded slowly, as he wrapped his arms around me.
I hugged him back close, as if it was the last moment I would get with him.
I began sobbing again.
Is there something wrong with me?
"Hey hey, it's ok...shh...everything will be fine ok..i'm right here..." Eren said, trying to calm me down, he stroked my hair, and kissed my forehead.
"Y/n...I love you." He said leaning his forehead against mine.
"I...love you too Eren." I said, as I started to calm down.
Eren smiled warmly, and I swear I hadn't seen him do that for a long time.
"Eren..." I said, a little taken back by his action.
He seemed confused, and I just leaned forward and kissed him.
"I missed you like this." I said.
I hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. This reminded me of the sweet Eren I had known before and I didn't want him to go back to being cold again.
"You...what?" Eren asked.
When I didn't reply, he just gave up and relaxed in the moment.
"Y/n..your..so warm." He mumbled into my neck.
This reminded me of all those years ago, when he came to me, too afraid to sleep alone.
"I'll keep you warm as long as you need." I said.
I really really didn't want him to grow cold again...
