Chapter 10

Zak's POV

"Wake up Zak!" I heard muffled shrieking.

"Zaky, wake up, wake up!" My eyes slightly opened up and I saw a small figure jumping up and down.

"Wake up or I'll jump on you!" I sprung up instantly but it was already too late.

*POOF*

"OOF!" Was what escaped from the last bit of air in my lungs.

"Ooooooh..." I groaned in pain as my little sister giggled.

"You can't... do that to me..." I said between breaths.

"I'm ready so you have to be ready!" She grabbed my hand with her little fingers wrapped around mine. I let her "drag" me to my closet. She pulled out one of my favorite hoodies.

"Wear this one, I like it!" It was the light blue hoodie with the derpy face on the hood. She handed it to me and I held it as she kept choosing my clothes. I was fine with it, if anything didn't match or work well anyway, I would just change it.

"There you go, now get ready brother!" She handed me the rest of the clothes. I smiled at her and agreed.

"Of course princess!" I bowed down as she left, then I shut the door and got changed. She gave me black shorts with white lines going down the sides, a simple black pair of shoes with white socks. I headed to the bathroom and got ready there, too. I also checked out my fists, definitely bruised, but feeling slightly better. As I finished, Samira came in complaining.

"Ughhhhhh, are you almost done yet? You're taking foreverrrrrr." I chuckled to myself but then cleared my throat.

"Yes, now let's go, Babe" I patted her head and went back to my room real quick to grab my backpack and made sure everything was in there while Samira followed. I opened and closed my hand repetitively to tell Samira to grab my hand, she gladly did and we headed downstairs. She grabbed her backpack and coat that was on a hook and I grabbed my keys. We headed out and I took her to school first since Mom had headed out earlier than usual this one time. She had told me the night before that I would be driving Samira to school because she had an early meeting for her job or whatever.

We showed up at her school and I hugged her goodbye and told her I loved her, she did so back then got out of the car. I made sure she got inside safely then drove off towards my school. When I arrived, I got out of my car and tried to find Darryl right away. I was at school earlier than usual so I thought I'd look for him, especially since he'd be the type to be at school early.

I went to his locker and checked around that area but didn't find him. I'll just text him.
