"fucking shit!" jaemin let out when his pencil case fell on the floor for the third time.
mina kindly bent down, grabbing jaemin's pencil case before handing it to him with a smile.
"here." she said.
"thank you." jaemin replied, going back to writing the history lesson their teacher was dictating.
"is something bothering you?" mina asked after a second.
jaemin froze.
was something bothering him?
well, YES.
since his last kill – which was a week before – donghyuck had disappeared from his sight.
and jaemin knew exactly why.
when he had woken up from his trance after killing that girl, he had seen how much donghyuck was frightened.
he had seen it in his eyes.
his bright red teary eyes.
he was crying because of jaemin.
he was coughing because of jaemin.
he was scared because of jaemin.
everything was his fault.
no wonder jaemin wasn't loved.
who could even like such a monster?
even a demon got frightened of him...
"jaemin?" mina called. "why are you crying?"
the teenager lifted his hand and touched his cheeks, only to find them wet.
so, he was crying.
"what's happening?" mina asked, placing a comforting hand on jaemin's thigh.
"it's just..." jaemin hesitated for a few seconds, wiping his tears away with the back of his hand. "...my demon."
"oh..." mina nodded in understatement.
she was lucky to have an angel, so she didn't have to bear a demon.
demons were reupdated to be a pain in the ass.
and those who had guardian demons were painfully aware of it.
jaemin being no exception...
"i'm sorry..." mina mumbled.
"it's okay..." jaemin shrugged. "nobody can do anything about it anyway..."
"but i want to help you..." mina pouted.
jaemin's heart skipped a bit as a smile appeared on his face.
"you're already helping so much..." he said, placing his hand on mina's.
