Chapter 27: ~A Mess~

The relationship status and 'thinking' are going to be from the point of views of the main characters in this part. To make it simple: Markus' point of view, Sapphire's point of view, Connor's point of view, then again Sapphire's point of view.

Third Person POV

Markus: Why isn't she picking up? The investigation should've been over by now!

( Markus exclaimed in a panicked voice. North, Josh and Markus were in the meeting room. The leader had been pacing back and forth ever since he last talked to Nicole, waiting for her to call back as she said.

It had been half n' hour since the incident at the Stratford Tower. Not getting a call from the Detective, Markus got anxious. He started calling her and she didn't pick up, his stress level started to increase by each second )

North: Don't freak out. I'm sure she's fine.

( North was seated on a beanbag, her leg on top of the other, her arms folded. Josh was seated on a crate. The television in the room was turned on, and just as North finished, the news started playing )

News Reporter: Good morning everyone. At the investigation for the deviant's message, a tragic accident happened in the Stratford Broadcasting Tower...

( The trio turned their attention to the flat screen on the wall, listening carefully )

News Reporter: An android working for the security system, turned out to be a deviant. It managed to get a hold of an officer's rifle and shot Detective Nicole Bridget.

JOSH: \/

( Josh got up from the crate and stared at the television. Everyone's heart rate dropped as they heard the news... )

News Reporter: They haven't yet revealed much about the investigation, but we know that the Detective is being treated at the Detroit City Hospital right now.

( Silence fell in the room. Tensions rose. Neither one could comprehend what happened, neither did they think it was possible that Nicole could get hurt by this... )

Josh: I told you!

( Josh exclaimed angrily, making North look at him )

Josh: I told you we shouldn't have gone out of our way and ask for freedom! I knew it wouldn't end well.

North: It was the right thing to do. The humans would've never listened to us. We didn't have any other choice!

Josh: And what did we get out of it? Two dead friends?!

( Josh exclaimed as he raised his arm up to gesture at the television. North got up aggressively and stood in front of Josh )

North: Simon gave his life for our cause!

Josh: If we all end up dying, then who are we fighting this cause for?!

( Josh spat back. North folded her arms and threatened him )

North: Don't test my patience, Josh.
