Chapter 28: ~Welcome Back~

??: We can't stay here for much longer!

( A brown-haired boy yelled out, seeing that they all were surrounded by fire... )

??: We need to stay calm!

( Another boy yelled out. Everyone was terrified... shrieking and whining. The fire was spreading throughout the entire house, making all of the exits inaccessible. )

??: GET A FUCKING MOVE ON!

( A silver-haired girl yelled at the girl she was helping up. The teens were helping people to get out of the burning house through an enormous window, it had a slide like a mattress to get down - which the teens made for easy departure.

The flames were getting bigger and it was getting harder to breathe. People were coughing and suddenly, one of them fainted. A boy with glasses ran up and helped the man, along with his friend. They made it out, slightly burned and injured.

They helped the unconscious man to his family and thought that they were safe until )

??: PLEASE!

( A woman cried out, making the boy and his friend turn their attention to her. The woman looked at the boy's friend and immediately ran up, pushing away the others.

She dropped on the friend's arms, tears falling down her cheeks, her eyes bloodshot and puffed up. Her face had burn marks and black spots... )

??: Please! Save my daughter! She's in there!

( The person looked at the burning house. It was falling apart slowly and the flames were reaching up high...

The person could hear nothing but the flames and... a scream?... The scream was coming from the house... it sounded like a little girl...

The person looked at the silver-haired girl, who looked at the house, not even thinking and-- )

??: SCAR!

Nicole's POV

( I woke up to be faced with some strong lights. I closed my eyes shut and tried to move my hand up, but pain took over )

Nicole: Fuck!...

Elena: Oh! You're awake.

( I opened my eyes and the lights weren't there anymore. Elena was on the left side of the bed I was on, holding her clipboard as usual. The room was white and really neat.

I was at the hospital... great.

I shook my head and rubbed my face, managing to bear the pain in my arms. My eyes were hurting and my entire body felt numb. *Yawn* )

Nicole: How long was I out for?

Jasmine: 23 hours and approximately 31 minutes.

( This is Jasmine. Elena's partner. She's an android, model MC600. She's designed for pandemic and first aid purposes. Nothing really special, brown hair, black eyes, an LED on the right side of her temple, and an armband.

She's nice. Always with Elena whenever in the hospital, and has taken care of me a few times when Elena couldn't.

I sighed and nodded, hiding my shock and concern. 'What?! Fuck!' 'What happened to Markus and others? What about Simon? Did he make it?...' )
