chapter 10: will see eachother again

later on mike and will were sitting in bed in silence, not knowing what to do next. "w-where do i sleep tonight?" will asked. "um...i guess you can take the bed!" "then...where would you sleep?" "ill just take the floor" "no mike that will hurt your body to sleep on a rough floor like that." mikes laughs. "ok then how about.....we both take the bed" will turns bright red. "y-yeah that seems b-best" "was that a stutter byers?" mike laughs moking will. "n-no!" mike scoffs and climbs into bed with will. mike turns off the lights and both boys stare up at the ceiling in silence. will looks around the dark room as he pulls the blanket in front of half his face..hes always been a bit of a baby when it came to the dark. "c-can i cuddle you?" he asked. mikes eyes immediately burst open. he turns to face a scared will. "w-what?" he asked trying to make sure he heard right. "c-can i cuddle you...." will repeats. the boys stare at eachother in silence. "y-yeah s-sure" mike says glowing red. will moves over and wraps his arms around mikes waist as he digs his face into mikes chest. mike wraps his arms around wills back. its the next morning and mike had snuck will downstairs to his basement. "woahh.." will whispers at the sight of his basement. it was huge and there was stuff everywhere. "nerd" will laughs while mike showed him his dnd stuff. "h-hey can i use this phone real quick?" will says pointing to the basement phone. "oh...yes of course" will picks up the phone and dials his mother. shes probably been worried sick ever since his disappearance from camp. "will!?" his mother joyce yells on the other line. "h-hi m-mom..." "omg will! baby where are you!?" "a-at a friends...dont worry im ok." "please tell me where you are so i can get you!" mike looks down after hearing that will would be leaving. "*tells mikes address 😩*" "get ready im coming to get you! im so happy you're ok!" "y-yeah me too....but um mom.." "yes sweetie?" "can you maybe...not park outside there house? i dont want mike getting in trouble..." "oh ok" "ill see you soon?" "yes hunny" "ok bye love you" "love you". immediately after will hung up, mike grabbed him and began kissing him. he released and will stared shocked. "whats wrong?" will asked a clearly upset mike. "i-i dont want you too leave...you're the best thing to ever happen to me..." "awwww!" will says as he grabs mikes face and kisses him." after that, the boys had snuck back upstairs. the two heard the sound of honking. the boys looked out the window and saw joyces car parked down the street. will turns around and kisses mike one last time. "w-when will i see you again..." mike says. will smiles and grabs a pen off mikes desk. he writes his number on mikes hand. "call me" he says with a smile. he grabs his backpack and leaves out the window. mike watches the boy he had fallen in love with leave before his eyes. will had droven away....leaving mike all alone yet again
