I walk to my locker when another set of footsteps join mine.
" so what book do you want to read?" joel asks. I ponder a moment and pull out one of my books from my locker.
" allegiant? Isnt that the third one?" He questions. I nod.
" lucky for you ive read the other ones and have been dying to read this one." He says with an excited smile. Hmmm... He reads... I couldnt help but think that was a bit attractive. I nod in approval and close my locker" seeing as the bell just rung to go home.
I decide to walk again. A girl probably from school walks slowly infront of me. She has a cell phone to her ear and is crying. I listen carefully.
" i just want to know if the tests were positive. Please just tell me." She whispers shakily into the phone. A pause. She shakes her head frantically.
" no. No. No. I cant be a mom. Not yet." She sobs. I turn a corner and walk down 3rd ave when a car pulls up behind me. I quicken my pace but the car follows.
" addison! Do you want a ride?!" I hear a voice ask. I whip my head around to see the black audi behind me and the annoying purpled haired boy with his head out a sunroof. I groan and shake my head no.
" come on addi, let me do something nice" i cringe at the nickname but remember the man driving. I put my hands up as an exasperated fine. He grins thinking he's got me. I shake my head at his obliviousness and climb in the car.
The leather seats stick to my skin. The driver doesnt acknoledge me.
" so where do you live?" Joel asks and i pull out my phone to type.
