Spencer's POV
FLOWER SHOP

"I'm here to pick up an order for Spencer," I say to the florist at the register.

"Ah, yes!" The man says before walking into the back.

Liv hasn't spoken to me since yesterday in the bathroom. I tried talking to her last night, but she just pretended to be asleep.

I'm hoping flowers and a good meal can cheer her up because I have so much to tell her. I mean, so much has happened since her leaving for LA. I purchased a million dollar home. And I met my son for the first time a couple of nights ago. She's really the only person I want to share these moments with and she won't even look at me right now.

As I wait for the florist to return, I hear the door open and naturally turn to look.

"Ah mommy! My sweet Kia!" The florist reappears with a box full of flowers.

"Gianni, my love!" Kia says in a terrible Italian accent before they embrace.

"Spencer." She says cordially.

"What's up Kia?" I hesitate. "Look, I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it yesterday. A lot was happening. Can we reschedule?"

With everything that went down, I had to cancel on seeing the twins at my new house.

"Yeah, I figured as much. Just text me whenever you're ready." She shrugs nonchalantly.

"It's not that..." I start to say, but the florist interrupts.

"For the beautiful lady!" He hands her a single red rose and she smells it. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. He does't come by anymore."

I watch the florist shrug his shoulders in disappointment.

"I know Gianni! I just come to say hello." She says and I can tell Kia's sad about something. "I'll see you soon."

I watch as she leaves.

"Oh! My Kia! Such a sweet, sweet girl!" He says happily.

"What's up with her?" I ask seriously. "Who doesn't come by?"

"She comes in every Tuesday. She claims it's just to say hello, but I know better. She used to pick up flowers weekly. Special gift from her fiancée. They were madly in love. I can tell. Til' one day, he don't order them anymore." He says in his heavily accented voice.

"He just stopped coming, huh?"

He shakes his head. "Yeah, completely stopped. But she kept coming. I think she hopes he comes and leaves the flowers for her. I still give her a rose because she's sweet, you know? She deserves that. Single mother to beautiful babies. She's been raising them. She's strong, Mamas need love to, you know?"

"You've met her kids?"

"Oh yeah, they come in with her sometimes. They go to the daycare next door. She's a great mother. Her fiancée is missing out." He says before ringing up my flower order. I hand him my card as I think about what he just said about Kia being a great mother.

"Could you do me a favor, Gianni?"

"Sure, anything." He answers kindly.

"Put a dozen of her favorite flowers on my tab weekly." I say and he smiles. "Not like that. Just as a friend."

I think about how hard it must be on Kia. While she chose to be a single mother, it's still not easy. And if it's a few flowers a week that helps her keep going, then I want to do that for her.

"Ah, true gentlemen are still alive." He smiles before swiping my card.

I leave with the flowers for Liv in my hand. I place them in the trunk before catching a glimpse of the daycare my kids' attend, according to Gianni. I stare for a second, before moving closer to the glass window.
