Olivia's POV
HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE

"See ya, Jordan!" We both say in sync before he walks away.

Jayda and Jordan were kind enough to treat me to Mastro's on 6th Ave. We didn't talk much about the drama going down at the hotel. Instead, we focused on other things like our dream homes and dream vacations.

But now we're back at the hotel and reality is starting to set.

"Lets go to your place!" I suggest to Jayda and she laughs.

"No, you're going to go in there and put your big girl panties on, so you can talk to that man!" She says seriously.

"What if he's still in love with Kia?" I question and she sucks her teeth.

"You're being ridiculous. And we aint about to do that assuming shit out front of this hotel building!" Jayda replies and I know I have to go inside and talk to him.

"I don't know, I just hate that our past is interfering with our future." I admit. "We were supposed to be house hunting today. Instead, he's in there upset about, only God knows what!"

"It's only interfering if you let it. Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, you two can tell the real estate company you want a new agent and be done with it." Jayda says.

"How is that going to look?" I ask seriously.

"It'll look like what it is." She answers smartly. "You two don't want her as an agent."

"And it'll look selfish, immature, petty and all of the other things that go along with holding a vendetta against an honest working black girl in America." I say seriously. "And for what? Because she didn't want to be Spencer's girlfriend freshman year?"

"Okay, fair enough! Maybe it's a bit extreme to stop her bag. But you won't know the truth until you go in there!" She tells me and I agree with that.

"Thank you, friend!" We embrace,0 before watching her catch an Uber.

I unlock the door to a dimly lit hotel room. There's rose pedals leading to the bedroom.

I smile as I smell Armani Code Cologne in the hallway. That's my favorite scent on him.

"Spencer?" I say as I push open the door and see rose pedals on the bed next to chocolate covered strawberries.

"Somebody is feeling better!" I say out loud, but I don't see Spencer anywhere.

There's a card laying on the bed, so I grab it and begin to read.

The front makes me laugh and the inside makes me cry.

To my baby
I'm sorry for what I said earlier. You deserve my best, even when I'm upset. I promise to be better for you. And no matter what,
I'll always put your feelings first.
Please forgive me.
Love,
Spencer
