Spencer's POV
GAMETIME"Yes, I tied their shoes myself." I say and Jayda laughs. "No. Nothing's funny, babe."
Jayda laughs harder at my words.
"Yes, they both have their favorite Gatorade. Summer has yellow. SJ has blue." I answer her. "Baby, their shinguards are strapped tight. ------- It's about to start now. ----- Alright, babe. I gotta go. Love you!"
"Those hormones are ramping up, huh?" Jayda manages to ask in between laughter.
"Jay, it's crazy." I confess as I ensure the call is ended. "Yesterday, she cried while we were..."
"Spare me the details..." She interrupts me and I laugh uncontrollably.
"No, but for real. I thought I hurt the baby, but Liv was just emotional as hell." I add. "And she's super overprotective of the twins now. She just asked me if I tied their cleats correctly and if their shinguards are tight enough."
Jayda laughs hysterically. "Mommy mode times ten."
"Yeah, that and the idea of Kia taking them away is getting to her, a little too." I sigh. "Speaking of that is everything with the lawyers in place?"
"Signed, sealed and delivered today. Just like you requested." She answers, just, before Darnell and Uncle Franklin walk over with food from the concession stand.
"Hot dog with mustard, ketchup and relish!" Darnell says excitedly before handing it to me.
I was pissed at Jayda and Darnell last week at Friendsgiving dinner, but it didn't last long. They explained to me exactly how it went down and I can't hold them accountable for Jordan and Kia's selfishness.
"Is the little lady okay?" Uncle Franklin asks as he sits next to me. "I heard you talking to her before we walked away."
"Yeah, she's just a little excited about everything happening. Between her podcast, Christmas, the baby and other personal shit, she's good though."
"How's the intern making out? You still think she's your sister?" He asks bluntly.
My uncle went back to LA for Thanksgiving, so he's still catching up on all of the drama that's been going on lately.
"Lauren says her mom is tight lipped about it. And with my mom having no clue, Liv suggested we just take one of those sibling DNA test things."
"Yeah, what's up with that? Did she want to take the test or not?" Darnell asks.
"Yeah, but she's on vacation with her friends from school for a week. So it has to wait."
"But you know, no matter what, you're stuck with Jayda as an annoying little sister for life!" Darnell jokes.
Jayda pushes his head lightly and we all laugh.
"Aye, Unc... Are you sure you don't know anything about my pops having a daughter?" I ask him again, just to be sure.
"I told you nephew, he didn't even let me see you. So you know damn well he wasn't going to let me around an illegitimate child!"
The whistle of the referee takes our attention as the game begins.
"Let's go son!" I shout as he kicks the ball.
We all laugh as the kids kick, run and fall all over the turf. They have no clue what they're doing right now. But I can tell they're having fun by the smiles on their faces!
"That's right baby girl, kick it hard!" I cheer for Summer as she gets close to the ball.
"Go niece!" Darnell follows before noticing he forgot his Gatorade at the concession stand. "I'll be back. I need my drink."
