Spencer's POV
JANET VS BEY"Cheers to free pizza for as long as we live," Jayda says proudly before taking a sip of wine.
We just signed my most recent deal with Pizza Hut this afternoon and I couldn't be more proud of all that we've accomplished in only a short amount of time.
Before I can respond, I feel my phone vibrate. It's a group message between Jayda, Liv, Jordan, Darnell and I.
"Darnell says he's on his way," Jordan reads the same message I just received. "And Liv still hasn't responded."
"Well, she's probably finishing up her website today." Jayda reminds us and I nod.
"I hope y'all don't mind, but I invited Kia to celebrate with us," Jordan says and I look at him oddly.
"We literally just made these plans. When did you do that?" I ask and Jayda laughs.
"She's helping me find a condo in Jersey for when I'm back on my feet. And since I had to change plans on her, I just told her to come through." He replies nonchalantly. "Is that a problem?"
"I mean, it's cool. I just didn't know y'all were that tight." I admit.
Jayda laughs again. "Well, good. I won't be the only female, since Liv's busy."
"Yo!" Darnell says happily as he walks into the bar.
Jayda waves him over and they kiss before he shakes me and Jordan's hand.
"What's up bro?" Jordan asks. "Or should I call you the newest member of The New York Jets?"
We all cheer as we congratulate him on making the team.
"That's right! The Jets just got a hell of a lot better!" I say loudly before ordering drinks.
"Couldn't miss y'all, if I tried." Kia says sarcastically, referring to our noise level, as she walks up behind him.
She sits between Jordan and myself before looking at the drink menu.
"So what you drinking? All the fellas are being whack!" Jayda says seriously.
"Whatever you're drinking," Kia answers proudly, before leaning over and responding quietly to something Jordan says in her ear.
"Aye, I hate to be that guy, but has anybody met Liv's marketing friend?" Darnell asks and he immediately takes my attention away from Jordan and Kia.
"Uh, nope! It's definitely time for me to make a bathroom run. There's no way I'm about to sit here and talk about some guy I barely know."
"Well, get out of here then!" I say smartly and Jayda shoots me the bird, making us all laugh.
"I'll go too. I should've went before I left work." Kia adds before following Jayda.
"Get back to what you were saying about Liv's friend. Besides, I thought I would've met him by now, but he doesn't seem interested in meeting me by the way he sped off from your welcome home party." I say before pointing towards Jordan.
"You haven't met him?" Darnell seems perplexed and I'm more than anxious to know why. "Dude walked up on me outside the jeweler like he had a problem."
"Are you serious?" Jordan asks angrily.
"Yeah, he called himself checking me and I was about to put him in his place."
"What the fuck is his problem?" I ask in frustration. "What did Liv say?"
"She just seemed confused."
