Can was in his last class of the day, together with Ae and Pond, awaiting the last few minutes before class ends. He really wants to just speed to his dorm, and bury himself in his soft, fluffy bed with his cloud-like pillows. He couldn't wait to lay down, and sleep all his stress away. It sounded like heaven to Can, his mind already drifting to the said paradise.
Ae and Pond look at him already knowing what's inside their friend's head. Can is the type of person to enjoy things that makes him happy, and those things are eating, sleeping, and talking about eating and sleeping.
"I bet you he's thinking about sleeping." Pond says to Ae, looking at him with one eyebrow raised as to challenge him.
"I bet he's thinking about eating." Ae retorts back, nodding in the process.
"500?"
"500" They shake hands to make the deal between them with Can oblivious to the bet concerning him. Can was only focused on the clock placed above the board, impatiently awaiting for the minute hand to reach 12.
'5... 4... 3... 2...'
"Before you go, I have an announcement to make." That statement brings Can back to reality, snapping his already sleeping imaginary self out of paradise. Hu groans, scratching his head to relay his frustration to those who were watching him which were his two friends.
They snicker at his reaction, taking joy out of Can's immense displeasure. They look back at their professor to listen to what he's about to say.
"As you all know, the university has an annual program wherein students who want to volunteer can help in the outreach program for those in poor conditions. Though it is a voluntary program, I am requiring you to go because I will be making it a part of he final project for the semester. Home economics discuss lessons related to at-home activities, service for people, and how to make a business out of it. Let this be a test of what you have learnt throughout your time learning here." their professor explained, wanting them to know why he's doing this, and the importance of it for the students.
The students nod in understanding, some taking notes as to not forget while others talk to their friends on what they will do at the program. Can was just sitting there, still processing the information his tired brain was given.
Most of the students were already out of the room, and Can is still seated on his chair, Ae and Pond waiting for him to respond. Eventually they got tired of waiting, and helped Can pack up his stuff. And by help, I mean them doing the work while Can's mind buffers for the 30th time. The signal must be weak today for Can.
They grab his bag, and pull him up his chair, carefully dragging him out of the room into the corridor that was now somewhat devoid of people, a couple students still littered the place. He looked like a mindless zombie being secured by military personnel as to not spread the disease.
Once they reach the stairs is when he fully rendered what their professor said a while back. He voices out his tiredness, and frustrations in hid iconic 'OIIIIII' gaining the attention of a few people who quickly minded their business just as fast.
Don't get him wrong, he wants to help people in need, he has nothing against it. It's just that he also wanted to rest and sleep for the whole duration of the remaining semester which he knows is all but a dream.
"Can, are you okay?" Ae is the first one to voice out his concern out of the two. They were thinking that he has an actual problem, or he's just being his normal weird self.
"Ahhh! I don't wanna do the program. All I want is to sleep, I've been craving it since earlier!" he whined to his friends.
'Ha! Told you." Pond suddenly said, earning himself an unamused look from Ae, and a confused look from Can.
