It was the last class of the day, students were already showing sign of how the day have drained their energy to do anything productive. Though their state was like this, they still try to not succumb to that drowsy feeling they were experiencing. The professor knows what the students were feeling so he tries to liven them up by asking questions to make them more alert, throwing a few jokes here and there. It was appreciated but it wasn't enough.

While the class was like this, someone was zoning out completely. Of course that someone is none other than Tin, who was staring blankly at nothing. His expression was blank but his mind was in a completely different state. It wanders through the collection of his memories, it goes from things he did that week, to sudden conversations with Pete. His mind was finding things to do just to escape the boredom of the classroom.

As his mind was scouring his forest of memories, it came across a vivid memory of a boy who had bumped into him earlier at lunch. He remembered how the boy affected him. He couldn't move, and just stared at the boy. He didn't know why or how he was affected that much. Maybe it was because he was deprived of human interaction from the campus but that's just a theory.

He thought of the boy more, he looked like a cheerful, clumsy monkey. Not that he is insulting him, it's just that he seems so playful, jolly, and all around enthusiastic. How Tin got these information, well he overheard a conversation about the boy (as you do), though he didn't manage to get his name.

The boy was shorter in height compared to him. He doesn't look like the type of person to be active, he was more like a younger brother who spends too much time using his phone on the couch. Tin chuckled at the thought though he didn't even know what was funny about that.

Tin began listing of characteristics of the boy, things he saw from the brief and unexpected moment they met. He had a fairly light skin tone reminiscent of chocolate milk. It looked smooth, he wondered what it would feel like to touch him. His black hair that seems so fluffy that he just wants to touch it, to feel for himself. They fall perfectly onto his eyes, those dark brown eyes that looked at him with apologies written on them. Then his lips, his pink lips the held distressed expression. Even though it held that, they were still pretty and looked soft like cotton candy. 'Maybe it's as sweet as that' Tin thought but then shook his head as he realized what he thought. 'Why am I thinking of that, I only met him- scratch that, I barely even met him. I don't even know his name!'

Tin's face contorted into an expression of disbelief  and distress. Pete was just staring at him not knowing how he should feel about the other's antics. Should he be worried, weirded or creeped out? You would feel the same if a person suddenly changes their facial expression every minute.

'What has gotten into you Tin?' Pete thought.

He got curious so he tapped the other's shoulder causing Tin to flinch when he felt someone touch him. He looked at Pete with a questioning gaze, silently telling him if something was wrong. Pete stared weirdly at Tin before he spoke. "What's on your mind? Is something bothering you?" he asked with genuine worry in his tone. Tin isn't usually like this, he's either bothering the hell out of Pete or solemnly staring into nothingness with an unreadable expression gracing his face.

"What do you mean? I'm perfectly fine." Tin answered. Pete did not believe him as he still saw distress on Tin's eyes. "Don't lie to me, I can see right through you. I know there's something bothering you. You know you can tell me anything, right? I'm your friend after all." Pete said, patting Tin's back to comfort him. Tin smiled at that, he was glad that he had a friend like Pete. "You're my only friend for that matter." Tin said making them both chuckle.

"But seriously, what's wrong? You looked like you're constipated. You can go to the clinic if so." Pete said already raising his hand to ask permission but Tin quickly held him back from doing so.

"No, no, I'm not constipated or anything I- well- it's just- Ahh I don't know!" Tin whisper-yelled the last part as to not attract attention. Pete looked at him, trying to understand what he wanted to tell. "Okay... Is it something about school? Are you having a hard time studying?"

"No, I'm okay in that department." Tin answered.

"Then... Is there someone bothering you? Like bullying you or something? I can report them if you want."

"No, no, no. No one's bothering me like that. No one even comes to me." Tin said in a depressing tone.

"Well, what is it then? I'm not a psychic who can magically know what you're thinking about." Pete said, he was running out of things that can make Tin act like this. He stared at Tin who was having a hard time on how to say his internal struggles to Pete.

"Well... there's this guy-" Tin got cut off by Pete's sudden outburst.

"I knew it! There IS someone bothering you. Don't worry, I'll handle him for you-"

"No! I already told you no one's bothering me. Well, I guess it's bothering me but not the kind you're thinking of." Tin said making Pete curious at what he said.

"How is this guy bothering you." Pete asked, intently staring at Tin, awaiting his answer. Tin got a little bit uncomfortable from the staring.

"Well, I met? him earlier at the cafeteria and... I wanna... sorta... wanttogettoknowhimbetter." Tin said.

Pete blinked a couple of times, trying to process what the other just said. "I'm sorry, what?"

Tin didn't know why he was nervous to tell Pete, maybe it was because of him staring at Tin making him uncomfortable. He sighed before speaking coherently. "I wanna get to know him better."

Pete didn't respond for a moment, making Tin anxious on his seat. "Then go talk to him." Pete simply said. He didn't know what the big deal was, if you want to get to know someone then talk to them. Simple.

"I don't know how to! You know I tried to do that before but they were all uncomfortable with me. I don't wanna drive him away. I wanna have other friends besides you, no offense." Tin said, stating his dilemma to Pete. "None taken, but how will you get to know him? You can't just expect him to be the one to come to you. Like you said, no one has ever approached you." Pete stated matter-of-factly.

"I don't know. Why am I even thinking about that, it's not like I even have a chance of befriending him." Tin said with a disappointed sigh. Pete looks at him with pitiful eyes. Tin has tried countless of times to approach people but they just don't work for him. Pete doesn't understand where the 'not-in-the-same-league' was coming from. He has read so much stories with characters just like Tin and they have practically the whole school following them, so why isn't that the same here?

The class eventually ended, students were practically racing towards the exit like they prisoners who were released from their cells. Tin fixed his stuff, placing them neatly in his bag before going to the door, Pete following behind him, who was texting his boyfriend that their class is done.

"Hey!" Pete called out, Tin turning to him. "Ae wants me to meet him somewhere." Tin nodded.

"Yeah okay, I guess this is where we part ways?" Tin said making Pete chuckle.

"That was so dramatic." Pete shook his head before waving bye to Tin and walking off to somewhere. Tin continued to walk to his car to go back to his apartment. He went into his Black Jaguar Car and drove off the parking lot. Of course people were staring at the car and they knew who was in there. Tin shook his head and released a sigh, 'They stare at me but can't even talk to me.'

Along the way, his mind went back to the boy. It just loves going back there doesn't it. Tin doesn't know why that a simple interaction wanted him to get to know the boy better. Maybe it was because he really  wanted someone to be his friend, maybe it was because they already had a base to start off, or maybe it was something more. Tin brushed off those thoughts as he parked his car on the designated area. He got out, remembering to lock it before going into one of the tall buildings in the complex.
