The sun starts to set and it cools of outside. Thomas and Newt shiver as they sit by the side of the lake, trying to catch some warmth from the few light bundles that come through the trees. 'Newt your lips are turning purple, come sit closer to me. Maybe we can warm each other up.' Newt scootches closer and lays his head on Thomas' shoulder. Thomas feels a tingling through his body, all of a sudden he isn't cold anymore. He rests his head on Newt's. For a while they watch the sun set. 'Don't fall asleep', says Newt as he lifts up his head. They stare into each other's eyes. Thomas has the feeling like he can't breathe, but not in a bad way. He feels his body leaning closer to Newt. Maybe he is imagining it, but he has the feeling that Newt does the same. They come closer and closer until their lips almost touch. For a moment Thomas hesitates. However, he can't restrain himself any longer. The last few inches between them disappear and he can feel Newt's soft lips against his. He lays his hand on Newt's cheek and he feels Newt's hand on his chest. Thomas moves his weight more onto Newt so he will lay down in the sand. Newt's hands are going through his hair, Thomas pulls back to catch his breath and stares into Newt's eyes, who sits up a little more straight and pulls Thomas back in. A wave of heath flows through Thomas' body and he feels his heart pounding. Thomas' hand lays on the back of Newt's neck, slowly he moves it higher up. He feels Newt's soft hair slide through his fingers. Their lips let go of each other and they leave a layer of warmth and tingles. Thomas sighs and says; 'We need to go back, it's almost dark.' 'I suppose we should.' They both start to snicker, still in unbelieve of what they just did. Thomas stands up and reaches out his hand, Newt grabs onto it and Thomas pulls him up. Again they stand eye to eye. Thomas gives Newt a short kiss on his lips, hand in hand they walk back to camp.
