The bell rang and he ran. The boy was out the door before Mr.Harris dismissed them. But right before he opened his door there was a hand with claws on his blue Jeeps door.

"Hey why are you in such a rush?" he said as his claws came in. Stiles bit his lip and sighed looking from the ground back to him.

"I told you my dad needs my help" the sarcastice brown eyed boy said with both his hands on the jeep.

"Well I know for a fact without my werewolf hearing that your dad does not want you raceing of to his work and with my hearing I know you're lying." The alpha lined his side on the jeep, his arms crossed "You've been weird all day and I don't just mean your normal weirdness, I mean extra weird. You don't want to go into the forest and you have been looking at the clock all day and tapping your leg like crazy. Whats up?" Scott said with a different tone, he was concerned. Stiles sighed and realized that it would probably be easier just to tell him.

"I-..Ok fine" But just as soon as he started he saw the time and knew if he wanted to go and find out everything with his dad and meet Hailey he had to leave now. "Look I'm sorry Scott but I have to go I tell you tomorrow" He said running around the Jeep and jumping in. He wanted to go right to the Sheriff's department but he needed something to make a trade with his dad. So he got some burgers and with a slam he was in sherfes Stilinski office.

"I told you I can't tell you anything" He said with a sigh lining back in his chair.

"I thought you might say that so I brought this'' he held up a bag and sat down. He gave his dad a burger and a salad. They started eating and Stiles did his thing. Looking around for clues and reading the pin board the sherf had on his wall.

“Hey what is this?” The sheriff said, holding up the salad “Where's my curly fries?” Stiles pushed the salad back.

“This is better for you” He said with a mouth full of curly fries.

“Well I want fries and I’m the Sheriff so” He said, grabbing the fries out of Stiles hands.

“I’m just trying to make you live longer!” He said, taking a sip of his coke.

“Anyway what did you want to talk to me about?” The sheriff said, taking a bit out of his burger. With that question Stiles jolted up remembering why he came for the most part.

“Oh ya so you remember Hailey?” He asked, thinking this would be the best way to start the conversion.

“Oh ya was that the girl that dropped you off after summer camp?” He asked vaguely, remembering the girl. Stiles sighed remembering that night. That was the last time he saw her. He asked her to stay but it was too soon. We said our goodbyes in a garage at the edge of beacon hills. As he remembered he realized he had to get going.

“Ya! uhhh..So she's coming to beacon hills and she doesn’t really have a place to stay so I thought maybe she could stay at our place for a bit?” The nervous brown eyed boy asked.

“Ahhh..Sure why not. For how long?”

“Ahhh..wel...you know..it's..I..” he staggered, not knowing the answer. “I have to go pick her up so..she’ll tell you” He ran out the door before his dad could say a word.

He was half way there and started playing the radio. He was so excited to see her after forever. It wasn’t until this very moment where he started to get nervous. His car slowed down. He started to wonder if she's different or if she doesn’t like it here or my friends. That's when he got a text saying almost there and he would have to think about that later. So he turned up the radio and it started playing ‘trouble’ and before he knew it he was back to himself jamming out to Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Hudson. He turned the corner and pulled into the parking lot they said they’d meet. He didn’t know when she’d be there so he unbuckled his seatbelt and got out. He closed the door to his jeep and leaned on it, music still playing and him nodding to the radio. That's when he heard a door open and close. It echoed throughout the garage. He almost fell down when he heard the noise. He stood up straight, reached his hand into his car to turn off the music, checked his teeth in the car's mirror and dusted his shirt. He stepped forward to see if it was Hailey and that's when he saw her. She was standing there with her suitcase, she was walking around looking for him when they made eye contact. When she saw him, she dropped all her things and ran to him giving him the biggest hug, she jumped into his arms and she held him tight. At first he was in shock but then he hugged her back not ever wanting to let her go. They finally split from the hug and she picked up her bags.

“So how’ve you been?” she said with a smile.

“Actually pretty good. I mean I have a cool group of friends which I can’t wait for you to meet. I’m on the lacrosse team and ya I think that's it. But what's up with you I mean you’ve been traveling for 8 months. You’ve got to have some crazy stories!” He said opening the truck.

“Ya well I’ve been to Africa, Europ, Asia, Canada. You know all over.” she sighed “But ahh.. I didn’t find them. I’m sorry, it’s just..it was too hard...i..” she started to tear up. Thomas noticed and hugged her.

“Hey, hey it’s not your fault, shhhh it's ok. You're here now that's all that counts” she nuzzled her head into Thomas’s chest. He lightly smiled and pushed a hair behind her ear. She then pulled away hands over face.

“I’m sorry I don’t know why I..I’m fine..I just-” But the boy standing in front of her just smiled and said. “Don't be” they were making deep eye contact. She was barely a foot away from him, eyes red staring up at the last person in her life. Him staring down at the girl he once in this very parking lot had asked to stay, staring at the girl he once loved, staring at a girl with red eyes and a messy bun. At this point it wasn’t just eye contact, everyone knew that they were levels of eye contact and they were past just catching each other's glances. They started to lean in when Thomas’s phone buzzed. Hailey snapped out of it and broke eye contact, she stepped away and walked around to get in the car. Stiles also came back to reality and snapped out of it. He pulled out his phone to see a text from Scott

New message from Scott

“Hey dude I know we left it off kinda weird. Can I come over?”

As much as he wanted to tell Scott everything he couldn’t. He sighed and texted back.

To Scott

“Actually I’m kinda busy I’ll see you tomorrow at school”

(In this paragraph there are spoilers about maze runners so don’t read if you don’t want to know)

Stiles hopped in and started the engine. He tried to forget about their little moment but it was clear there was an awkward energy in the car. Hailey had always been with Newt and it broke her when he died as did it all. But she wasn’t the same after that. Teresa had just died too so it was hard for the both of us. Newt and her had a connection. But was she maybe starting to get over him, move on? But he stopped himself before he could think any further. He cleared his throat and adjusted himself in his seat. Hailey finally stopped looking out the window and knew what was going to come next to change the topic.

“So lacrosse uh?!” She said with a smile looking at him.

“Oh ya...ya I’m usually on the bench though…”

“Oh well I’d love to see you play! You always were an athlete!”

“Ya..ya turns out being a runner is really useful” he said, starting to relax.

“So when do I get to meet your friends?”

“Oh ya! Well you're coming to school right?” Stiles said realizing they never really talked that far into the future.

“Ya.. I uhh actually thought a lot about it and since I’m staying here for well.. However long I enrolled in Beacon Hills High school!” she said with a fake smile not knowing what Thomas’s reaction would be. Stiles turned in his seat.

“Oh my god! That's great!” His smile made Hailey smile and  she was so relieved that everything went according to plan. “Well that's great so if you're coming to school with me then you can meet my friends tomorrow!” He had a smile spread across his face. A classic Stiles Stilinski smile that she missed with all her heart.
