Y/N didn't know when it was when she realized that something was wrong.

That something just felt so off.

Was it the strange murmuring from time to time? Or was it the laughter she would hear?

Or was it the way everyone just seemed frozen in time? As if they were just playing a character?

Whichever time it was it didn't really matter. Because it made her wake up. Wake up to realize that something or someone was controlling her and her life.

Y/N could feel herself forced to pretend to be happy and normal. That everything was mighty fine. But it wasn't . It wasn't fine at all

And she always felt watched. The eyes that hungrily watched her every move. She didn't seem to have any private moments.

Everything was right there to be watched.

Y/N sat at her school desk writing down the class notes and biting her lower lip.

Today was about how she struggling with Math.

That was what the days lesson was about. Her studying and struggling for some fucking subject.

Her hand shook a little as the teacher said something and the peals of laughter swirled around the room.

Nobody seemed to ever notice the laughter or whispering (at times) only Y/N.

There were times Y/N just thought she was slowly losing her mind.

And maybe she was. Losing her mind as well as whatever soul she had left.

"Miss Y/N?" The teacher quipped pushing up her cat eyed glasses as Y/N looked at her uneasily.

You must stick with today's lesson little Y/N

"Um...sure Mrs. Lane". She said forcing a smile as she got up and walked to the chalkboard.

As she picked up a piece of a chalk she could feel something odd happening to her mind.

"Wasn't she good at math? Why was she suddenly struggling so hard?"

As expected, Y/N could barely do the problem, causing a few giggles from other students. And a sigh from the teacher.

But Mrs. Lane was nice.

She even held back Y/N after class and gave her some tips.

"You know Y/N. You don't need to push yourself so hard. It's ok to struggle at some things. That's what life is about sometimes". She said warmly as an aww sound bounced off the walls.

Y/N's eyelid twitched, she smiled at the teacher, and thanked her.

But she still felt heavy as she headed for home.

Not noticing one particular blonde boy watching her as she boarded the school bus. His blue eyes following her every move and smile.

His own smile large and wide. Frozen in a secret that wouldn't budge.

On the school bus, Y/N chatted with a friend and felt nausea built up in her.

She hated going home. The laughing grew louder there. The eyes watched her a lot more.

They seemed to be even more eager when she was in the bathroom or when she was sleeping.

It made Y/N wonder if it was either her mind or something much darker that had decided to latch onto her.

Either way she knew she had to escape eventually.

That's not how it works. They won't be happy.

You belong to them
