How Do We Cover This

Janet woke up to Riley's hand poking her cheeks as usual.
"Riley why are you waking me up? What time is it?"
"Cus I'm boreeeedddd"

"STOP POKING ME"

Riley quickly moved her hand away and made a face, the sort of face you would do if an interaction was awkward.

"Okay I'll get you breakfast gimme 2 minutes" Janet pulled the covers off her and went to get her dressing gown and brush her teeth.
She walked out into the living room in a blue fluffy robe, fluffy socks and a messy bed hair-do.

"Okay Riley, what do you want for breakfast, cereal or toast?"

"Toast pwease! Wiv extra Nutella!"

"I don't know about extra but I'll give you Nutella"

She made both pieces of toast and out the desired spread on top, soon handing it to Riley for her to eat and stop complaining.

"I'm gonna go get ready, Katrina is coming round for a bit and yes, Misha and Sergei are too"
"Otay!" Riley said that less enthusiastically than usual but Janet didn't pay attention to it.

As Janet dragged her feet to her room, Riley looked at the door worryingly, hoping that someone didn't arrive for a little bit.

20 minutes later

"Okay I'm ready"

Janet walked out of the bedroom wearing pale blue ripped jeans and a red and black flannel shirt tucked in (I'm not gonna ever stop with the flannel). It was a very comfortable outfit but also looked nice.

"Ot-" Before Riley could finish, someone knocked on the door, Riley's heart began racing but luckily it wasn't who she thought it was, sending a quiet sigh of relief out of her mouth.

"Hey Katrina" Janet gestured for the family to come in.
"Hey Misha hey Sergei"

"Hello comrade" they responded to Riley with a cheerful smile and ran towards her bedroom.

"Come take a seat, so what have you been up to since..." Janet realised they had seen each other yesterday and the day before and the day before that, "Wow we see each other a lot" they both laughed and sat on the grey couch, covered in green, white and grey pillows.

"Da we do, but I don't mind, I like seeing you"

"I feel the exact same way"

Katrina pulled Janet into a similar kiss to the first kiss but this time it was more comfortable and regular. They both pulled apart after a few seconds and headed to the kitchen to make some drinks, vodka for Katrina as always and a glass of wine for Janet.

Knock knock

Who was at the front door? Janet didn't invite anyone, she concluded that it was just the mailman or something and made her way to the door.

"Hey"
"MARIE? why are you here??"
"I was invited, duh"
"No you weren't"

Janet took a second to think, it must have been someone using her phone and Marie takes 2 hours to get ready so it can't have been Misha or Sergei; they only arrived 5 minutes ago.

"Riley" she muttered under her breath, not loud enough for Marie to hear.

"Riley!" this one was audible throughout the whole house.

A toddler with a purple striped hat came walking down the hall and into the living room.

"Hewo Auntie Marie"

"Riley, did you invite Marie?"

"No..."

"I know you did Riley"

Katrina heard the fuss and came to the door.
"What is she doing here?" She asked, looking up and down at Marie in disgust.

"Ugh, I was invited but clearly not welcome"

"Who the hell would invite you" Katrina never got scared around anyone, she found it fun to start little arguments like this although she stopped when Janet started talking again.

"Riley I'm going to count to three and if you don't tell me why you invited Marie I'm gonna take your new elsa doll away"
Riley started panicking and looking back at fourth between her auntie and her mother with a face like she was about to burst into tears.
"one"
Nothing.
"Two"
Still nothing.
"Thr-"
"I was bored and Marie is fun and she always brings candy and I didn't know Katrina was coming and now what if she finds out about-"

"Okay, just tell me next time" Janet would have just shut the door in her sister's face but panicked when Riley said the last part of her sentence.

"Find out about what?" Marie couldn't have cared less, she just liked bugging Janet as much as possible.

"That I- uh- doesn't matter"

"Mhm okay"
Riley grabbed Marie's hand and pulled her to her room where Misha and Sergei were.

"Riley I'm going to go get a drink" Marie said, opening and shutting the door as she left. When she got to the kitchen, she didn't ask for a drink she just made one.

"So what's happening between you two"

"Huh"

Katrina had her arm around Janet as they watched television and of course, Marie suspected something, she was always up in Janet's personal life.

"I said, what is happening between you two"

"Um we're best friends"

"Mk"

Marie took her glass from beneath the tap, turned it off and made her way back to the room to play with the kids.

When she entered Riley's bedroom, Misha was holding a Kristoff doll, Riley was holding an Anna doll and Sergei was holding the Elsa doll.
"Look Auntie Marie!" Riley snatched the Kristoff doll and made it kiss the Anna doll, "They're kissing" She sniggered and kept making them kiss.

"Just like our mothers" Sergei said, whispering to Riley although it was ten times louder than he anticipated.

"Your mums kisses huh?" Marie wasn't surprised, she had hidden excitement from knowing that this would be another thing to make fun of her and mock her for.

"Uh" Riley gulped, "No, he meant...um"

"Mhm I'll be right back" Marie left the room smirking.

"So... You two kissed huh?"

"What? No!" Katrina snapped her head back to look at Katrina who had her arms crossed and a smirk plastered across her face.

"Well, atleast tell me the details, when was it, where was it-"

"Marie, we didn't and haven't and won't kiss" Janet joined in.

The two that were originally on the couch were now standing and leaning against the back of it so they could try their best to convince Marie out of this.

"They may not know how to count, but toddlers don't lie" The snobby sister stated.

Janet frowned more than before, "Riley what did you sa-"

"Actually it was one of the Russian ones, they look the same so I have no clue which one it was, it was the one in the blue ha-"
Katrina left the room and headed to the room with the boys and Riley.
The door whipped open and Katrina stood there, giving Sergei the 'you're dead to me' type of look.

"Sergei, what have you said"
"Nothing mother"
"Sergei I'm going to count to one, not three, I don't fuck with three"
"O-"
"Otay, I told Marie you and Janet kissed"

Katrina nodded, she wasn't going to give too big of a punishment, just a few chores and things when they got home.

Janet and Marie were completely silent when Katrina walked back into the living room.

Also, as you probably know, Kris has a new character who is Nona's husband/Janet's dad but I'm not going to be including him in this story because I've already written most of it and I've planned out each chapter so it wouldn't be the best, sorry!
