"What do you mean he left you uptown?"

"What do you mean he left you uptown?"

"He did, he told me he was going to leave because my hat was too ridiculous and then he left while I was buying a subway ticket and he caught a cab home," Luke and his dad howled in laughter as Luke recounted stories of his adventures with Calum and his other friends.

Luke and his mum had gone to visit Andrew the next day after Luke arrived in Florida. His dad was ecstatic to see him again but was feeling a bit down about everything, so Luke made it his mission to make him laugh. He'd been telling funny stories and jokes for almost two hours before Andrew got a bit tired.

"Why don't we let your dad rest, Lu, yeah?" Liz got up from her seat in the corner. She'd been working from home lately, which meant working while at the hospital, and the nurses had set her up a little desk in the corner of the room so she could still see her husband, but also get her work done.

"Actually, could I talk to Luke for a bit alone?" Andy looked into his wife's eyes. "I just wanna..." he trailed off, looking over at his youngest son and Liz nodded.

"Of course, I'll go get Ashton from home and the two of us will get you lunch. What do you want today? We'll go anywhere,"

"Whatever is close by, I don't want you going all over town for me," he coughed a bit, trying hard to make it seem like he wasn't. "Even a sandwich from the cafe is fine."
