Varian decided to sleep in the bottom bunk, while Hugo would sleep in the top.
Varian: Hey...thank you for helping me..! Im sorry for not listening to you before..
Hugo: Don't worry about it!
They later slept that night. But Varian didn't have a pleasant sleep.
-This part of the story takes place in a nightmare Varian is having-
Varian saw Hugo, Rapunzel, and His dad infront of him. Andrew grabbed Varian by the arm.
Varian: Raps...Hugo....D-dad...
Quirian: Varian..
Varian: Dad...
Quirian: You almost killed Queen Arianna
Raps: Sorry doesn't cut it! Your such a selfish kid!
Varian: All I wanted was to free my dad and make him proud!
Quirian: Then I'm not proud...
Varian: I-im so sorry....I-i didn-
Andrew: The kid is with me. Doesn't matter what you three think!
Varian tried to escape from Andrew's grasp. Suddenly a mysterious voice echoed "Let him go!". Andrew only tightened his grip. The voice shouted, "Don't make me get violent!".
Varian: Wh-who is there..
The voice answered, "It doesn't matter! Now let him go!". Andrew kept tightening his grip on Varian. Suddenly something shot the nightmare.
Varian woke up, crying a bit. He was panicked and breathing heavily.
Hugo: You ok Varian?
Varian looked away, trying to hide his face. he told Hugo it was just a nightmare.
Hugo jumped down from his bunk.
Hugo: Come on shorty! Tell me!
Varian went silent for a bit. Then he sighed. "There is no way my dad is going to want a son like me when he sees all I have done...maybe...I should stop trying...not like anyone is gonna forgive me...".
Hugo: Varian..look at me...your a wonderful person..he will still love you no matter what!
Varian: I didn't listen to him about the black rocks! I encased him in amber! I kidnapped the queen! I hurt the princess!
Hugo: Trust me..he will still love you..
Varian went silent for a bit. He muttered one word. "Th-thank you...". Hugo smiled and told him it was nothing. Varian blushed a bit. Hugo asked Varian is he was ok. Varian said he was fine. he smiled. He couldn't describe what he felt to Hugo, he just felt something. They decided to go back to sleep.
-In Varian's dream again-
The voice echoed "Sweet Dreams Varian" He looked around.
Varian: Where are you? Who are you?
He looked around for a bit until a sweet demon girl appeared infront of him. She said hello.
Varian: Woah! Uh-...hi-..who are you..?
The girl told Varian her name was Angelica, but he could call her Anglia.
Varian: Oh, well, nice to meet you Anglia! What are you doing here...where you the voice form the nightmare...?
Anglia: Absolutely your highness!
Varian: Your highness...? Uh..well...thank you..!
Anglia: I'm sorry but I have to call you your highness
Varian: Why?
Anglia: it would be disrespectful.
Varian was confused, but didn't ask.
Varian: You...you can just call me Varian..
Anglia: Varian?
Varian: Yeah.
Anglia: Varian!
Her eyes started to glow. Varian got scared and asked what was going on. She told him if she was excited her eyes would glow pink. Varian asked why she was excited. She didn't answer. She told him to keep her a secret, or something bad will happen to his dad. Varian agreed.
Anglia hugged Varian. Varian stood there confused and asked what was going on.Anglia told him they were just hugging, so varian hugged her back.
Anglia: Welp Ima go to your mind now.
Varian: What...!? A-alright...?
Anglia went to Varian's mind. Varian was confused as frick, but decided to settle with it being a dream.
