I was 13. In 4th grade. Hard to believe it's still 2020. I was currently sitting with Scott on the bus. Kyle and Stan were so cute together. "Kit, you good?" I snap my head to him. "Huh?" "I've been saying your name for about a minute, we are at my house." I look around. "But we were on the bus...?" He laughed. "Well, you walked off." I sigh. "What were you thinking about?" I blush. The moment before, I was thinking about Scott. "U-Umm..." He laughed. "You work on the weekends at Raisins, right?" I hum. "You should probably get your uniform at your house and come over here for the sleepover." He recommended. Funny story, I actually live 2 houses away from Scott.

I grabbed my uniform and put it inside my backpack, then walked over to Scott's house. His house was a light brown. I walked inside. He was eating with his family. I watched them eat. I was on the verge of tears. I wish my family was like this. They were just talking and laughing. Scott then turns his head. "Oh, hey Kit!" He said, smiling. Running over to me, he falls. I quickly caught him. "Hah... sorry." He said, standing up straight. I chuckle. "Did I come at a bad time?" I ask. "No, not at all! Come eat with us." I smile.

"So, you and my son, huh?" I choked on my water. "DAD!!" Scott blushed from embarrassment. "Clark, don't assume things!" I take a bite of the chicken they made me. "Have you kissed yet?" I swallow the food, starting to choke. I slam my fist on the table. "Kit, you good?" I tried not to cough. "Is your girlfriend okay?" Scott's mom asked. Her name was Ellen, from what I've heard. "She's not my girlfriend." I start coughing like crazy. "Kit!" Scott handed me his water. This scene reminded me of something, but I can't remember what. I chugged the water. I breathed in. His parents just smiled at each other. "T-Thanks, Scott." He chuckled. I show him my fist, which he bumps with his fist. We did our best friend fistbump. "Wow, you two already have a friendly hand-bump thingy," Clark said. "A best friend fistbump!" Scott corrected, smiling big. I laugh. "Can we go up to your room now, Sukotto?" He gave me a weird look. "I taught myself how to say your name in Japanese." Scott grabs my hand, dragging me upstairs. "KEEP THE DOOR OPEN!" His mom screamed. My whole body was now red from blush.
