chapter ten

"Don't get pregnant!" Kayla shouted from the living room while she was sprawled out on the couch, stuffing her face with Pringle's and a nice glass of wine.

Amelia rolled her eyes as she headed out of the door of their apartment, making her way towards the spot where Daniel had his car parked. He was in their driveway waiting for her, picking her up to have a nice get together with Harley and Jack.

She closed the door behind her and made her way down the steps, nearing the white Tesla and Daniel leaning against the hood of the car while typing away on his phone. Daniel was wearing a hoodie, the black hood covering his entire head and with his head duck down, she was sure he wouldn't notice her walking up towards him already.

But he sure as hell did, his head shooting up once he heard the brunette coming closer to him. Daniel was a little bit nervous because there had been a big change in appearance recently and he hadn't told her yet. Today would be the first time Amelia would see him like this, and he really hoped the girl would still like him as much as she did before.

"What's up, loverboy?" She chuckled, walking into Daniel's outstretched arms to give him a big and loving hug. "I haven't seen you around since the dinner, are you trying to avoid me?"

He laughed at her joke and shook his head quickly, leaning forward to press a kiss onto her cheek when she pulled back, a shocked expression on her face. Daniel wasn't sure what got her so shaken up, but when she reached both of her hands forward to pull the hood off his head, he knew what it was all about.

"Excuse me motherfucker?" She screeched enthusiastically, "You went brunette and didn't tell me?!"

A big laugh escaped his mouth as he lightly felt Amelia rug on the dark locks, running her hands through his freshly dyed hair. "This is exactly why I didn't tell you yet, I wanted you to see it in real life."

Amelia smiled at him and shook her head lightly, "I literally thought you avoided me because you were regretting trying to kiss me last week."

"I was trying to kiss you? You were trying to kiss me!" He joked, opening the door for her before he went to the drivers side and got into the white vehicle as well.

"I do like it though," She admitted as he backed out of the driveway, arm resting behind her chair and checking to see if there were other cars passing them while looking back at the street. "It makes your eyes pop."

"Oh look at you falling for me," He joked before turning his head to look at her, sending a grin her way before letting his hand rest onto her bare thigh, the black training shorts she was wearing making it hard for him not to.

"Oh darling," She exaggerated a sigh, causing him to raise his eyebrows, "Don't get your hopes up."

"Someone can't take their eyes off you," Harley mumbled, trying to not make it seem as if she was talking about Daniel, who was looking at the girls duo that sat across from him at the other side of the booth. The music was a bit too loud, but both of the girls didn't mind as it gave them an opportunity to talk about how Daniel's eyes hadn't left Amelia ever since they stepped foot into the restaurant.

Amelia placed her wine glass down onto the small table in front of them after she took a sip, trying to not spill the red wine onto the white table cloth. Her eyes darted from Harley up to meet Daniel's blue ones, noticing how he leaned forward with his elbows onto his knees. A small grin danced on his lips and he tried to hide the grin by balling his hands together and shielding half of his face.

She learned that this was a thing he did loads while being around her, grinning and trying to hide breaking into a smile while looking at her. Amelia hadn't spoke up to him about it because she knew he was extremely stubborn and was going to deny her statement at all costs. Maybe it was because Daniel didn't want to admit he actually realized she made him smile more ever since they met, or maybe it was because she caught him every time he was doing it and got shy about it.

"I've been trying my hardest to make it seem like I don't drool every time I look at him," Amelia admitted honestly, causing both of the girls to laugh, "I can not believe you never told me you dyed his hair."

Harley shrugged her shoulders lightly, "He was so cute about it, like, begging me to not send you any pictures because he wanted you to see it in real life. Daniel's such an angel when it comes you, it's honestly sickening."

At this point, Amelia totally forgot Harley wasn't aware of her and Daniel's relationship being based off a contract deal and a one night stand, and it caused her to think that Harley actually knew more about Daniel's feelings than she first told Amelia.

"Oh really?" Amelia wiggled her eyebrows at the raven haired girl, "So you're telling me he has talked to you about me, huh?"

Harley sighed deeply and rolled her eyes with a groan, knowing that she had said enough to make Amelia question her statements to get to know more about Daniel's feelings and thoughts.

"Don't look at me like that, little fucker," Harley joked, lightly pushing the brunette before sighing and handing Amelia her wine glass, "Sit back and enjoy what I'm going to tell you right now."

Amelia nodded her head and quickly glanced at Daniel and Jack, who were busy reading the menus and discussing what they were going to order later on.

"Okay so you know the fancy dinner night, I asked you about how you two met and I got to see your perspective," Harley started, earning a nod from Amelia, "I wanted to know his thoughts too, and since he asked me to dye is hair I found myself a great opportunity to ask about you."

Harley wouldn't be Harley if she wasn't acting like the nosy young woman of their group, and at this time, Amelia found herself enjoying every single second of it.

"I still can't believe he actually tried to pull you in by stealing your liquor, like that's just fucking rude. I also told him that, he was glad it worked and up came home with him. Not in like the pervert way- but he was glad you kept him company in a time where his head was at the studio and he needed a little distraction."

"Who needs a little distraction?" Jack curiously spoke up, eyebrows raised and his arms folded underneath his head, "You better not be talking about that one time you thought it was a nice idea to do a striptease for me and you fell off the ch-"

"Jack!" All three of them yelled to stop the guy from finishing his sentence, that story was told many times before. He casually shrugged his shoulders and raised his hands up in defeat, taking a sip from his Coke as he drove him and Harley towards the restaurant.

"Are you gossiping about me, White?" Daniel spoke up, jokingly narrowing his eyes at the dark haired girl. She did the same, flipping him off by showing him her middle finger.

"Just telling your girl how extremely obsessed you are with her," Harley shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly, wrapping an arm around Amelia to pull the brunette in for a side hug, "And how happy you should be with someone like her."

Daniel smiled softly, his eyes darting from Harley to Amelia, "You have no idea how happy I am."
