Emma doesn't know what time she ended up falling asleep, but when she woke up the next morning, Bucky was asleep too. She smiled softly at the sight of his mouth slightly open to breathe.

When she looked at Steve, he looked normal, other than the bandaging around his shoulder. Emma stood up and leaned over him, she put her hand on his cheek and kissed his forehead.

"Please wake up soon." Emma whispers and starts to walk out. She turns and looks at Bucky one more time before quietly leaving.

"How's Steve?" Wanda asks when Emma enters the kitchen.

"He hasn't woken up yet but he looks much better." Emma says with a smile. "Thank you guys for always making food for all of us. It's really kind."

"We enjoy cooking together, so might as well make enough for everybody." Vision says and smiles at Emma.

Nat and Tony came in after a few minutes and asked about Steve too. Emma gave them the same answer since she didn't have another to give. Tony could see how upset she is.

"He'll wake up soon. It's probably just the medicine we gave him." Tony says and smiles at his niece.

"I know." Emma says and makes two plates of food, one for Steve and one for Bucky. "If you guys don't mind I'm going to take this food to Steve and Bucky."

Everyone nods at Emma and she walks back to the infirmary. When she walks in the door, Bucky is awake and looking at Steve.

"Please wake up pal." He whispers just loud enough that Emma can hear. "I still need you."

Bucky turns around really fast when he hears Emma. She freezes and looks at him before smiling and handing him his plate.

"Thanks." Bucky says and starts to eat the food.

"You're welcome." Emma responds and puts the other plate on the table, for Steve when he wakes up.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Bucky asks and stops eating.

"I'm not that hungry. Besides, that plate is for Steve." Emma says and takes Steve's hand back into hers.

Bucky finished eating and leaned his head back in the chair. Both Emma and Bucky were tired from not sleeping much last night, but Emma didn't want to miss Steve waking up.

"Emma?" Steve whispers and slowly opens his eyes.

"I'm here!" Emma says and jumps out of her seat. "It's me. You're home."

"That asshole shot me." Steve says and Emma chuckles.

"Yeah. He did." Emma responds and kisses Steve's cheek.

Then, Steve noticed Bucky on the other side of the bed and holds his hand up to him. Bucky takes Steve's hand and smiles down at him.

"Welcome back pal." Bucky says to Steve.

"Thanks for saving me Bucky." Steve whispers.

Emma looked at Bucky when Steve said this and smiled at him. She knew Steve didn't blame Bucky, so maybe that would help Bucky not blame himself.

"I brought you some food if you want to eat. Or if you need more rest." Emma says and looks back to Steve happily.

"I'll take some food actually. Thank you." Steve says and sits up.

Bucky sits back down and continues to stare at Steve and Emma together again. It hurt him to see her with Steve, but he was happy Steve had someone like that.

"Hey Bucky. Could you give Emma and I a minute please?" Steve asks. Bucky nods his head and smiles before leaving.

"I've been meaning to ask you this." Steve says and looks at Emma with a smile. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
