Chapter Four - Sithspawn

As the evacuation was underway, Ruby's group along with May Marigold made their way to a abandoned building. Lord Scourge then uses the Force to blast the door open. 

May: Guess you don't believe in using the door. 

Scourge ignored May's comments as he entered the building. The others soon followed. 

Nora: Thanks again for coming.

May: Don't mention it. Once Robyn learned about Amity Tower, she wouldn't shut up about it. Wherever she is, I'm sure she would want us doing what we can to get it up in the air and get the world talking again. Besides, Fiona's got your friends helping out in my stead.

Katooni: Your comrades are in good hands. 

As they entered the building, they see numerous robots are seen manning devices next to large, slightly transparent tubes. A package goes up one of the tubes with an audible whoosh. The robots do not react as the group walks in.

Weiss: Snow Shoe Shipping is an SDC subsidiary, meaning all the drones here report to the company, not the general. The pneumatic tubes allow for Dust refined in the crater to be sent straight up to Atlas. We just need to find the one for the military base.

Blake: Are there any buildings in Atlas that your family doesn't own?

Weiss: That isn't relevant. 

As Penny looks upon a terminal that says "Destination: Atlas Academy" she looks down in sadness as Ruby approaches her.

Penny: I do not like it when friends fight.

Ruby: I know. Yang and I may not agree on how best to save Mantle but....

Penny: No. I mean Winter. The general. They were our friends. But then the Ace Ops attacked you. And the general, he said people were going to die, because of me.

Scourge: People die. That is life. If the general is so insistent on his plan, then I say we kill him and save Jadus the trouble.

Penny was disheartened as Katooni steps in. 

Katooni: What Lord Scourge meant to say is that you're not responsible for what happens as a result of Ironwood's actions.

Penny: I was the protector of Mantle, but now, I am much more than that, and I wish I was not.

Ruby: But, you're still you Penny. By becoming the Winter Maiden you did protect Mantle.

Penny: Thank you Ruby.

Zatt looks around the building with fascination. While the technology was primitive compared to the technology he has seen, Zatt was still impressed. Suddenly, the Jedi sense a dark presence nearby. 

Ganodi: Katooni....

Katooni: I know. I sense it too. 

Suddenly, the Jedi were attacked by a Sithspawn Beowolf. Ruby's group attempt to intervene, but the Grimm reaches out and pushes them away with what appeared to be the Force. Seeing this shocked everyone. 

Ganodi: Did that Grimm just use the Force?!

Zatt: Something's not right!

Katooni: I...I sense the Dark Side from within this Grimm! 

Katooni along with Zatt and Ganodi attack the Sithspawn with their Lightsabers, but the Sithspawn manages to dodge the attacks. The Sithspawn then blasts Zatt and Ganodi with Force Lightning, which incapacitates them. Katooni then uses Force Judgement to try and subdue it, but the Sithspawn powers through and attacks Katooni. The Sithspawn soon knocks her Lightsaber out of her hand and begins to viscously attack her. Lord Scourge steps in and grips the Sithspawn with Force Choke. He then then pulls the Sithspawn towards him and cuts it in half with his Lightsaber. After the battle, everyone got up and gathered around the Sithspawn's corpse. 

May: What the hell was that thing?! 

Scourge: An abomination of Darth Jadus's design. 

Blake: You're saying Jadus....created this?

Scourge: Yes. I doubt this will be last Sithspawn we encounter. We must keep moving. 

With that, the group continued to explore the building while Katooni remained behind. She was still taken aback by how the creature seemed to have an affinity with the Force. 

Katooni: How could Darth Jadus have created such a creature? 

Scourge: I doubt he did it alone. Even with his power, creating an abomination like this requires more than just the Dark Side. But even with that, the fact that these creatures exist show that his power grows ever more dangerous. 

Katooni: I understand, Lord Scourge. 

With that, Katooni and Scourge met up with the rest of the group as they were gathered around the tube leading to the Atlas Military Base. They then use the tubes to enter the Atlas Central Command undetected. 

Ganodi: Okay....I never want to do that again.....

Huyang: My goodness! That was rather....unpleasant. 

May: Alright robo-girl, you're up. Which way?

Penny: We'll cross the bridge, then go left, straight, right, straight, left, up, up, right, straight, right, right, straight, left, left.

As Penny tells the directions in a very fast pace, Professor Huyang was able to keep track of what Penny was saying. May then uses her Semblance to turn everyone invisible. As they stealthily navigate through the halls of Atlas Central Command, they reach a wide corridor to a large locked door with "03" in large print on it. Penny then uses Pietro's credentials to unlock the door.

May: Alright, where to next, Penny?

Penny: Right through central command!

As May peaks out the door, she sees that the room was filled with Atlesian workers. As they get closer to their objective, the room is locked down as an alarm was raised. 

Ironwood(Intercom): A security threat has been detected in the compound, status alert level 3: red. Lockdown initiated. Authorization granted to handle any threats with lethal force.

In that moment, the plan went south. Now they would have to adapt if they were going to salvage the plan.
