Chapter Five - Strings

As the alarm was raised in the Atlesian Command Center, the group found themselves trapped in the room that they were in. 

Penny: The pneumatic tubes have all been closed off.

Blake: We're trapped.

May: We passed a hangar. Ganodi, you think you can call your spaceship over here? 

Penny: Wait, we can still succeed. We are so close.

Nora: Hmm....

Two workers were seen walking by. Without hesitation, Lord Scourge grips the two with Force Choke. As the two workers struggle to breathe, he slams them both against the wall. 

Ruby: What did you do?!

Scourge: They'll live. 

Katooni: Zatt, let's get this door open. 

Zatt: Got it. 

Katooni and Zatt then used the Force to grip the door. Working together, they forced the door open. They soon reached the control room. To their confusion, the room was mostly deserted. 

Ruby: Uh, where is everyone?

Penny: This is a highly classified area.

Byph: But shouldn't there be guards or something? 

Ganodi: I've got a bad feeling about this. 

Zatt: We better be quick about this before we have company. Penny, let's get to work on that terminal. 

Penny: On it!

With that, Zatt and Penny began accessing Ironwood's terminal using Pietro Polendina's clearance. As the two try to gain access to the Amity Tower, Katooni speaks with Ganodi and Byph. 

Katooni: Something's not right. Be ready for anything. 

Ganodi: So what's next after we warn everyone about Salem and Jadus? 

Katooni: We prepare for what comes next. It's only a matter of time until Salem or Darth Jadus make their next move. They've been quiet. Too quiet. 

Once Penny and Zatt finish downloading the codes to access the Amity Tower, they prepare to make their escape when they are confronted by the Ace-Ops along with a battalion of Atlesian Knight 200s.

Harriet: Hello, kids. Time to come home now, Penny.

Weiss: So your first time losing to us wasn't enough?

Marrow: We were holding back!

Vine: We have all said some things we regret, but please, hear me out. I know you thought you were doing the right thing when you left with the Maiden power, but Salem is here now. Things have changed.

At this point, Lord Scourge steps forward. As the Ace-Ops and the Atlesian Knights ready their weapons, the door shuts, splitting the Kybuck Clan from Ruby's group. 

Katooni: Listen to me! You don't know what you're doing! You're being manipulated by Darth Jadus!

Scourge: Don't bother with these fools. They clearly have a death wish. 

Harriet: Our orders are to capture Penny and everyone else involved in Ruby's little group.

Harriet soon directs her attention onto Scourge. 

Harriet: Ironwood doesn't need you alive. 

Scourge: If you think you could kill someone like me, then you're sorely mistaken. I have conquered planets and have slain the greatest of Jedi and Sith alike. You are nothing compared to them. Katooni, you will deal with these fools. I will crush Ironwood's droids. 

It was at this point that Penny stepped forward. 

Penny: Leave. Her. Alone.

Harriet: And what are you gonna do about it, tin can?

Without hesitation, Penny attacked the Ace-Ops alongside the Kybuck Clan. The Atlesian Knight 200s began firing on Lord Scourge, but the Sith Lord began cutting through the droids with ease. As all this happened, Professor Huyang made his way to the terminal and began to download any useful information onto his processor. It wasn't long before Harriet noticed this. 

Harriet: Elm! Waste that tin can!

Elm then attempts to attack Huyang, but Ganodi intervenes. 

Ganodi: You leave him alone!

As the battle raged between the Ace-Ops and the Kybuck Clan, Scourge demolished any Atlesian Droids that came his way. The Droids were a minor annoyance as he cut his way through them. Meanwhile, Katooni kept Harriet at bay with her Lightsaber. 

Katooni: Stop this, Harriet! Can't you see that you're playing right into Jadus's hands! 

Harriet: You're the one resisting arrest, alien! 

Harriet attempts to blitz through Katooni's defenses, but Katooni blasts Harriet with a torrent of Force Judgement. 

Katooni: I don't want to hurt you!

During the fight, Penny unleashed the might of her Maiden powers on the Ace-Ops, turning the tide of the fight. Suddenly, the door was blasted open with Team RWBY and May joining the fight. As the group prepare to for another round, the Ace-Ops begin to fall back, taking one of Penny's swords with them. 

Weiss: Uh, that was....

Blake: Very suspicious?

Katooni glances over to Nora to see her unconscious and covered in scars. 

Katooni: What happened?!

Weiss: Nora....used her Semblance to blast through the electrical door. 

Byph: We need to get her to safety!

Huyang: I managed to download everything on the terminal. We have the codes to the Amity Tower and more. 

Katooni: Then we have what we came for. Ganodi, have the Ebon Hawk make it's way to the hanger bay we passed. We need to get out of here before Ironwood calls for reinforcements. 

Ganodi: Got it. 

Katooni and Ruby then carry the unconscious Nora to the hanger bay with the rest of the group following them. As they reached the hanger bay, the Ebon Hawk blasted through the hanger doors. Everyone got on board with the exception of Penny who looked on the group sadly. 

Penny: It is time for me to go, isn't it?

Ruby: We'll see each other again really soon, I promise.

Katooni: May the Force be with you, Penny. 

With that, Penny flew towards the Amity Tower while the Ebon Hawk flew away from the Atlesian Command Center. With the Amity Tower's access codes in their possession, they now had the means to warn all of Remnant on the threat of Salem and Darth Jadus.
