Peter and Y/n walked hand in hand, Y/n's head on his shoulder, through the park.
"Where are you taking me?" Y/n finally spoke up. "We've been walking for almost an hour? Not that I mind," Y/n clarified, looking up at him.
"You'll see," was his only answer and he hoped Y/n didn't pick up on his nerves. He knew Y/n was getting suspicious the longer it took him to build up his courage. A few minutes later, Peter pulled them off of the path and through the trees they had both passed through many times. Y/n smiled as the sunset before them cast shades of pink, purple, and blue onto the water.
"We haven't been here in so long," Y/n said, not taking their eyes off of the sight in front of them. "I forgot how much I missed it."
"We've had so many important moments here," Peter spoke up. "We met here, studied, I asked you to be mine, had our first kiss... I wanted to another one." Y/n turned around, their breath leaving as Peter knelt on the ground, a velvet box in his hand. "Y/n y/m/n y/l/n, would you do me the honor of being mine? For forever?" Y/n smiled at the dorkish boy they had fallen in love with. Their eyes glanced at the ring in the black box.
"That's my parent's ring," they let out.
Peter nodded. "I made sure to ask your dad first and he gave me this. He said it would mean everything to you."
"You asked my dad for his blessing?"
"Of course I did? It's not just us coming together. It's our families becoming one. Besides, did you really doubt he'd say no?" Y/n only chuckled.

"I'd really like an answer though 'cause I feel kinda dumb down here and my foot's kinda falling asl-" He was cut off as Y/n knelt down and pressed their lips together.

"Yes, Peter," Y/n whispered, pulling away. "I'll marry you. I'll be yours for forever."
Realized it's been over a month since I posted here! Sorry! Life's been a little crazy and I'm barely keeping up with my regular stories. Exams are coming up, so who knows if it'll get any more regular, but I'll try! Hope you all are doing well! Thanks for reading!
