Chapter 6

Kats POV
When I got home I notice someone was at my house. I went inside and there were two guys in uniforms. Dad must me home from Afghanistan! I could feel the excitement inside me. I went inside my house and saw the men hand my mom a folded up letter. I knew immediately I knew I would never see my father again. I feel the rush of sadness over me and I land on the floor crying. life would never be the same with out him.
*3 hours later*
The house was filled with company and I managed to get away from the crowd. I go for a walk outside and I see a car that looks familiar. It was Nash's car. Hayes was with him in the front and I saw stuff in the back seat but I couldn't see very well from all the tears. Hayes suddenly got out of the car and ran toward me and hugged me.
"I'm so sorry Kat...." Hayes says
I start breaking down even more. I'm pretty sure we stand there for 15 minutes for me to stop crying.
"I just can't believe he's gone" I managed to get out.
"Why don't we go inside to your room and watch movies?"
"Alrighy." I say
"Alrighty." Hayes says
As we go inside I start thinking.... Tori is my best friend and she's not even here with me. But yet I met someone today and they're here with me. I felt more and more depressed.

*The next day*
Kats POV
I know I should've stayed home today. But I didn't want to stay home in grieve. I got up and did a simple look:
Skinny jeans, VS Hoodie, and some white converse sneakers, with my hair in a messy bun.
Before I leave I manage to put a fake smile on my face. I go outside and get into my car and head to school.
