Chapter 8

Kats POV
After the funeral Hayes asked if I would go bowling with him. I curl my hair and put some eyeliner and mascara on. I put on my army's daughter t-shirt I found on some website and some skinny jeans and converses.

I have never bowled a day in my life, so this should be fun. At 6 o'clock Hayes comes and picks me up. When we got to the bowling alley it looks like some kids would hang out in the 50's. on one side was a dinner and the other side you bowled.

"How'd you know about this. I mean you just moved her?" I ask him
"Well, my family lives here so I know the place really well."
"Well that's good. And just so you know I've never bowled." I chuckled.
"Don't worry I'll go easy on you." He winks.

We got a table and we ordered food. While we were ordering Hayes started a conversation.

"So what's up with you and Tori I mean she hasn't talked to you in forever."
"Yeah I know, I don't know what her problem is. But ever since I've been hanging out with you she hasn't talked to me."
"Oh sorry, well let's go get you some bowling shoes."

While bowling I saw Tori walk in with some girls from school. They were mainly the girl who got into trouble like smoking weed and getting drunk type of things.

I go up to Tori.

"We need to talk."
"About what? How you lied to me when you said you were sleeping but you were really at Hayes house?."
"I knew you liked him and I didn't want to hurt your feelings."
"Whatever."
"I have one question."
"What?" she spits.
"Why weren't you there for me, when my dad died?"
"Because I was mad."
"Over some stupid girl drama"
"Whatever."
"I know who my true friends are, and you're not one of them."
"Well, you and Hayes won't be a thing I won't let it happened. I'm going to get Hayes all to myself."
"Mmhhhhm sure."
I go over to Hayes and give him a big kiss.
He looks pretty happy while Tori and her group are standing in shock.

Her and her little cliché eventually leaves and me and Hayes are finally alone.

After an other hour of bowling we decided to go home.

When we got home I tell Hayes I had a good time and thank him for being there for me. Next thing I know Hayes kissed be and I got the butterflies.

And then I drifted off into sleep.
