My room feels so suffocating. I've been trapped in here since last night, and I won't be able to leave until Monday for school. Unfortunately for me, Scott didn't give me any shifts this weekend, so I'm stuck in my house while my parents are out somewhere, having a great time without me. I'm pretty sure Kian also went somewhere a few hours ago in my car, so I'm all alone here. However, I really can't leave because my parents have cameras outside my house and will watch them tonight. I am a prisoner in my own home.

The only good thing that my parents did was let me keep my laptop and phone. They have never thought about taking those two away from me when punishing me, so I'm not completely out of options. It's just that my phone is very boring, too. I keep rotating through all the main apps I use. Nothing new has appeared, so I'm continuously scrolling with no hope of anything else. My laptop doesn't help me, either, because it only presents me with my homework that I have to completed. I totally do not want to do any of it right now.

I frown when I hear some strange noises outside. It isn't that strange for the neighborhood cats to be wandering around outside my house at this time of day, but these noises sound a lot louder than some little cats. There's a loud thud against the side of my house right next to my window, making my heart drop to the floor. Someone is trying to break into my house, and they're starting with my room first.

I creep over to my window and lift the blinds away from it slightly. From what I can see, it looks like there's three guys standing outside in the bushes. For some reason, they look a little familiar to me, but I don't pay attention to that. I watch as the short one picks up a rock from where they are standing and throws it up at my window. It hits just next to my window.

"Leo?" I whisper once I realize that it's him. I open the blinds all the way to see successful grins on Adam, Chase, and Leo's faces. Shoving my window open, I yell, "What in the world are you three doing?"

"Rescuing you!" Leo shouts back at me. "I know you've been stuck in your room forever, so we're here to take you to the Shark Beach premiere!"

"Even if I wanted to go, I can't get out of my house," I tell them, shaking my head. "My parents are watching this place like a hawk."

"Do they have a security system?" Chase asks.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Is it just on the front door?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"They won't be able to see you if you climb out of your window," he explains. "Pop out the screen, and you'll be good to go."

"How am I supposed to climb down the side of the house?" I ask them. "My room is on the second floor."

"There's some sort of lattice about a foot below your window," Leo tells me. "Try to climb on that."

"Alright. I'll try."

I thought I could just climb down the side of my house somehow, but I was very wrong about that. Just as soon as I drop out of the newly opened window, my fingers slip off of the windowsill. Unfortunately, the warm fall air can't hold me up while I try to grab onto something -- anything. I can't do that, though. No, I'm falling through the air toward the ground. I'm probably going to break a leg and have to tell my parents that I was sneaking out of the house and get in trouble all over again. That's just great. My life is turning out even worse than I thought it would be.

My fall stops so suddenly and violently because someone catches me that my head slams into their shoulder. At least I didn't fall to the ground and break anything. That's the only good thing about right now. My heart thuds in my chest, but I'm alright. Nothing bad has happened to me yet. That's good.
