"Jaz, time to get up. We're almost there." She heard Draco say as he was gently shaking her. She groaned in response.

"I can't wait until we get sorted and get to go to our dorms, I'm exhausted." She replied rubbing her eyes. "That reminds me, Victoria, Dylan, what house are you guys in?"

"She's actually a first year, but I feel like she'll be either Slytherin or Ravenclaw. She's insanely smart, but very cunning and witty. I'm a Slytherin. What house do you think you'll get sorted into?" Dylan replies.

"Slytherin, for both of us. We both come from a large family tree of Slytherins." Draco said.

"Well then hopefully we'll al be together. I can sense that we're all going to be amazing friends." Victoria replied.

They all got changed into their robes and soon after the train reached it's destination. The group of four walks off the train and Jasmine notices that Dylan walks off in a different direction. She looks over to Victoria about to ask her where he's going when a very tall, burly man begins speaking.

"Firs' years follow me! Mind yer step now!" The man said. "I'm Rubeus Hagrid by the way, but yeh can jus' call me Hagrid. I'm the keeper of keys and grounds 'ere at Hogwarts. Now follow me to the boats, four to each one."

They did as told and followed Hagrid to a dock that had at least a dozen rowboats. Jasmine, Draco, and Victoria collectively gathered in one. They were all talking amongst themselves while they waited to leave.

"Hey, mind if I squeeze in here?" A girl with long brown hair pulled back into a ponytail asked.

"Go right ahead." Victoria said. "The more the merrier."

"Thank you so much. Everywhere else was full and I was beginning to worry that I wouldn't find a boat with room. I'm Pansy by the way, Pansy Parkinson." She introduced.

"Oh my gosh, Pansy? It's Jasmine. I haven't seen you since we were five!" Jasmine exclaimed.

"No way! Small wizarding world after all. If you're here does that mean Malfoy is too?" Pansy replied.

"Obviously Parkinson. Have you ever seen her somewhere without me?" Draco answered.

"Good point. Oh! My apologies, what is your name? I got distracted by the grump and Jaz."

"Hey!" He shouted offended.

"Shut it Draco." Jasmine said softly elbowing him.

"I'm Victoria Stone. It's lovely to meet you." Victoria said giggling.

They made small talk about classes, what house they guessed they'd be sorted into, and quidditch. They were all becoming very well acquainted and Jasmine was ecstatic do not only have made a new friend, but to have reconnected with an old one. As this thought crossed her mind they sailed across another bend and were met with their first sight of Hogwarts. They were all mesmerized and after another few minutes they boarded.

They made their way through the entrance and gathered on the steps in front of a rather sharp looking woman who Jasmine recognized as Professor McGonagall. Jasmine stood next to Draco and behind Victoria and Pansy. She looked over at him and saw him talking with Crabbe and Goyle, two boys she hasn't seen since the beginning of the summer.

"Welcome to Hogwarts. Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Now, while you are here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you house points. Any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup."
