A few months had passed and classes were going well, Draco and Jasmine were closer than ever and they had both gotten close to Cassia, Veronica, and Dylan. They had also become acquainted with a girl named Pansy who Jasmine found absolutely insufferable, especially with how she tended to follow Draco around as if she were a puppy. Jasmine was doing amazingly in all of her classes, and she seemed to be a natural at potions and was at the top of the class. They were all eating dinner in the great hall discussing Christmas as it was only a few weeks away.

"Are you guys going home for Christmas?" Jasmine asked her group of friends.

"Me and Ronnie are, I'm excited to see my parents again." Dylan replied.

"I'm staying here, parents decided to take a trip to Italy and not bring me." Cassia said rolling her eyes.

"What about you and Draco?" Veronica asked.

"My parents also decided to go on a trip without me to visit my grandparents in Germany, so I'm going to be spending Christmas with Draco and his parents." Jasmine answered.

They continued to discuss what they wanted to get and trying to make plans to meet up over the break when suddenly Professor Quirrell ran in looking terrified.

"TROLL IN THE DUNGEON! T-TROOOLL IN THE DUNGEON! Thought you ought to know." Quirrell shouted before fainting and falling to the floor.

Everyone falls silent for a moment and once it sinks in all of the students begin to freak out. Jasmine clings on to Draco who was sitting next to her and looks up at him terrified. He looks down at her and his heart skips a beat, confusing him. He blames it on the fear of the troll and begins to try and comfort his friend.

"It'll be okay Jaz, I'm sure we'll be just fine. Just take a deep breath" Draco says to her, gently caressing her arm. She does as told and begins to calm down still holding on to Draco.

"SILENCE! Everyone will please, not panic. Now, prefects will lead their houses back to their dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons" Dumbledore announced.

They all got up and Jasmine held Draco's hand for comfort as they walked to the Slytherin common room. Once they got there Jasmine sat on the couch and cuddled up to him as she was still terrified, more so as she remembered that they were in the dungeons.

"Draco how do we know that the troll won't come here, we are in the dungeons after all."

"Even if it does, we're protected. Nobody, not even a troll, can get in here without a password. The real question is, how did it get in here in the first place?"

"Do you think a teacher could've let it in?

"Possibly. My bets on Hagrid, he seems to have an affinity for weird, dangerous creatures."

"Don't be rude Draco, he may be abnormal but he's still quite kind."

"Whatever."

A few hours pass before Draco and Jasmine head up to their respective dorms and go to bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning at breakfast Draco is going on another rant about Harry Potter.
"Saint Potter, always has to save the day. Breaking rules and still managing to get praise. I can't believe this. If it was any of us we would've been out of the school faster than you could say quidditch."
"Hey, who cares? We're safe Draco that's all that matters. Now hurry up and finish your breakfast or we're going to be late to the game." Cassia said, annoyed by his rant. Draco grumbled but did as told.
Today's game was Slytherin against Gryffindor, safe to say tensions were high an it only made Draco's ranting worse. The group of Slytherins made their way to their respective stands on the pitch and prepared for what was to be a very tense game, especially with the new Gryffindor seeker. Madam Hooch makes her way onto the field as a young Gryffindor named Lee Jordan announces. She releases the balls and the game begins.
Gryffindor quickly begins to dominate when one of the Slytherin players, Marcus Flint, takes a bat from one of the beaters and aims a bludger at the opposing team's Keeper, Oliver Wood, hitting him in the stomach and he falls to the ground. Slytherin begins scoring more and another Gryffindor player is sent to the ground. Harry seems to have spotted the snitch an begins to race off after it when suddenly his broom begins bucking and turning as if it was trying to throw him off.
"Ha! Seems Potter has lost control of his broom. A shame really, considering McGonagall had so much faith in him." Draco says and despites Jasmine's better judgement, she snickers.
A few minutes later Harry seems to have regained control of his broom and races off after the snitch again. He is quickly side by side with the Slytherin seeker and they try to knock each other away in hopes of catching the small golden ball themselves. They quickly approach the ground and at the last second the Slytherin pulls up whereas Harry levels his broom an stands up reaching for the snitch. He tumbles to the ground and appears as though he's going to be sick when the snitch comes flying out.
"He's got the snitch! Harry Potter receives 150 points for catching the snitch!" Lee Jordan announces.
"Gryffindor win!" Madam Hooch announces after blowing her whistle, signifying the end of the game. Everyone is cheering besides the Slytherin who grumble and leave the pitch in defeat.
"We had that game won! But no stupid Potter has to be all cool and happen to catch the snitch in his mouth as he falls." Jasmine ranted as they returned to the common room. Now she had no particular distate for the chosen one but she was very competitive and loyal to her house.
"Bloody Potter always has to show off." Cassia agreed. The rest of the group murmured their agreements as well.
Jasmine huffs and lays her head in Draco's lap with her feet in Victoria's. he begins stroking her hair as he turns to talk to Crabbe and Goyle, his goons as Jasmine likes to refer to them as. She slowly drifts off to sleep. A few hours later she feels as though she's floating before being placed in what she presumed was a bed.
"Goodnight Jaz. Love you." She hears and feels something press against her forehead before she drifts back off to sleep.
This chapter definitely isn't my best work and I apologize for the delay, I've been stupid busy and have also been struggling with a bit of writer's block. Hopefully the next chapter will be out sooner.
