Chapter Two

"Six hours of surgery and not a word from you on this mystery girl," Abby says shaking her head as she discarded her surgical gown in the hazard bin

Lexa rolled her eyes as she discarded her surgical gown and they washed up before leaving the O.R. 

"Did you at least get her number?" Abby asked 

"It was just a one-night stand. You know what those are right Doc?" Lexa asks with a raised brow 

"I may be old but I'm not that old," Abby says as she playfully shoves the younger girl 

Lexa's lips turned into a smile as she handed off the medical chart to the nurse at the nurse's station. 

"What else do you have going on for today?" Abby asked 

"Lighter load today. I'm going to see Rhea before her nap time. Then I might swing by the gallery to watch Ahn make a fool of some poor intern on their first day in the O.R." Lexa says with a shrug 

"New interns? is that today?" Abby asked with furrowed brows 

"I thought you knew everything that went on here lady. Yes, it's today. There's like thirty of them or something." Lexa says as she grabs a piece of candy from the jar on the nurse's station. 

Abby swatted her hand making her drop the candy "Those are for the patients Dr.Woods." She says 

Lexa chuckled

"Dr. Woods, Dr.Griffin, and Dr.Forest, your coffees, as requested," Monty says 

"Thank you, Dr.Green," Lexa says reading his name off his coat as she takes her cup 

Abby and Luna both take their cups. Luna says her farewells and heads towards the door to enter the hallway with Monty behind her

Clarke opened the door and ran into Luna. She went to open her mouth a few times but nothing came out. 

"What Griffin?" Luna asked impatiently 

"The guy with the seizures, Ken. His parents came in. The parents have questions. Do you talk to them or do I ask Any... I mean Dr.Woods?" Clarke asks 

Luna shook her head "No. Anya is off the case. Ken belongs to the new neuro attending who also happens to be a Woods as well. Dr. Alexandria Woods. She's over there." she says pointing towards the nurse's station 

Clarke looked over and saw the last person she thought she'd see at the hospital. The girl from last night and well... this morning. She swallowed thickly. This can't be happening. She slept with an attending. She slept with her new boss. She really is screwed. 

Lexa was laughing with none other than her mother. Great. Two people, she didn't plan on seeing today. Lexa took a sip of her coffee and looked over towards the door. She choked on her coffee that she was sipping when they locked eyes.

Abby patted her back "You okay honey?" She asks concerned 

Lexa caught her breath and put the coffee down "Yeah. Uh, I'll be right back." She says looking at the door that was now closing slowly. 

Clarke had fled. She didn't blame her. She wished she could run too but she needed to talk to this girl and figure out why she is here. Lexa took off after her. It didn't take long to spot blonde locks in the hall. 

"Clarke," Lexa says quietly not wanting to draw too much attention

The blonde tried her best to ignore the girl until she felt herself being pulled by her arm. 

"A word," Lexa says dragging her towards the nearest stairwell while also looking around to make sure she wasn't spotted

"Actually-" Clarke goes to argue before she is shoved into the stairwell
