Chapter Fifteen

Costia let out a soft groan of appreciation as skilled fingers kneaded her skin. Lexa's lips twitched into a smirk as she continued her motions. 

"I can practically feel your smug face from here," Costia breathed out with a light laugh

"Is this helping at least?" Lexa asked softly as her fingers carefully dug into the sore lower back of her wife

Costia nodded mutely as her head slumped onto the soft pillow on Lexa's bed. Her back had become more and more troublesome and them falling asleep on the unforgiving couch together last night didn't help. Her thoughts were interrupted though as she felt Lexa's warm hands trailed down lower and purposefully caress against her inner thigh. Costia immediately reached back and caught her wife's wrist before it could reach its destination between her legs. 

"Lex," Costia sighed  

Lexa pulled her hands back and sat on her heels "You wanted me and now i'm trying to want you back and you don't want me to touch you." she says with frustration 

Costia pulled the bed sheet over her bare chest and sat up "Baby of course I want you... I'll always want you, but there are things we need to work out first," she said as she moved Lexa's hair out of her face

"Isn't that what we are doing later today? isn't that the point of the marriage counseling?" Lexa asked

"There are things we need to discuss outside of counseling too," Costia said

"Like what?" Lexa asked playfully 

"Well... for starters, i'm not having sex with you until you get tested," Costia says 

"I do not have an STD," Lexa scoffed

"You don't know that. I'm not saying Clarke is that kind of girl but-"

"That's exactly what you're implying. How do I know that you don't have something?" Lexa says defensively

"I've only ever been with you Alexandria and I have a right to know before I go jumping back into bed with you. As a doctor, you should understand at the very least the importance of safe sex," Costia said trying to keep her voice down

Lexa sighed but ultimately agreed

"I'm not saying no to intimacy forever. I just think rushing back into things isn't the answer. I want to take it slow," Costia said as she wrapped her arms around the brunette and leaned forward to kiss her

 Lexa leaned in and connected their lips. She immediately deepened it and her wife smiled against her.

"She'll be up any minute." Costia warned between kisses 

Lexa hummed in acknowledgement before taking one last long kiss, or at least that was the intention until she found herself pulling her wife down onto the bed with her and tangling her hand into her hair. Costia's hands planted firmly on Lexa's chest as she broke from the kiss and shook her head with a laugh.

"What did I just say about slow," Costia said

"I can be very.... slow... and attentive," Lexa murmured between kisses along Costia's neck as she flipped them so she  was on top

"Good. You can demonstrate how slow you can be now," Costia said as she lightly shoved Lexa off of her before sitting up on the bed

They heard the sound of small footsteps and Lexa quickly fixed her shirt before opening the door to catch Rhea from entering the room so Costia could get dressed. 

"Mommy?" Rhea shouted as she tried to peer around Lexa

The brunette closed the door behind her and scooped her daughter up into her arms "Mommy is getting ready baby. Why don't we go wake Auntie Ahn up so we can grab breakfast on the way," Lexa said
