"MOMMY DADDY WAKE UP!!!" Alana yells and jumps on the bed. "WAKE UP!!!" She keeps jumping as I groan. Jaden wakes up and chuckles.
"Good morning Lani." Jaden says as he lifts her up in the air and catches her as she laughs. I see Jackson come in.
"Mom get up, I made breakfast." He smiles. I smile back.
"Thanks Jack." I say and get up. I get dressed for the day.

I get out of bed and saw a shirtless Jaden with just his black jeans. I stare at his abs and the sword leading down to it.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." He smirks. I laugh and blush and roll my eyes. "Blushing now aren't we?" We both lightly laugh. We go downstairs and see the food in the table but only three plates.
"Um, Jack? Where is the other plate?" I ask.
"Oh, I didn't think Jaden would be here. Maybe he'll just have to go out and get something." He shrugs. Jaden clams his lips and I run my hand on his shoulder.
"It's ok." He lightly smiles and whispers. "I'll go get something." He starts to grab his shirt and keys.
"No. Stay here. I'm not that hungry we can split." I smile. He smiles and sits next to me as I split to food in half, him having a little more than me. He gave me a look but agreed anyway. We finish eating and Jackson starts to walk up the stairs.
"Hey, Jackson, can we talk?" Jaden asks. "Privately?"
"Fine." He says as they both walk upstairs. I waited about ten minutes before Jaden comes down.
Jaden's POV
"Hey, Jackson, can we talk?" I ask Jackson, not calling him by his nickname, so he knows it's serious. "Privately?"
"Fine" he bluntly says. We walk upstairs and sit on his bed. I sigh.
"Listen man, I know you don't like me. There's more to the story that meets the eye. I didn't mean to hurt your mother. I was forced. Years ago, when we first met, I was a complete dick. Then we started talking. I grew feelings for your mother. I had an ex named Mads. She threatened me. She threatened her. She threatened to kill us. As you know, Josh is your real dad. But I made a promise to always be a father for you. A true father. To love and care for you as my own. Then we had Alana. I made the same promise. That I would love and care for you guys for as long as I live. One day, when you guys were little. You were four and Alana was two, Mads threatened us and took you kids. She was about to kill the both of you. And that's where I had to choose. And I chose you kids. I didn't want to lose you. So I left her to keep you safe. I did it right in front of Bri. And I know it hurt her. But I needed to protect you guys. I know I should have tried to find another way but I didn't. And I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done what I did but I wanted to protect you. We planned on you and Alana having the best life. But that didn't happen. And I know this may never change your point of view on me but I thought you should know the truth about me." Jackson takes a breath in and sits there for a minute.
