The Two Lunas

Chapter 33

That next Sunday was going to be our first time out as mates and I was a little nervous. I didn't care a ton about everyone else's opinions. I had already made it clear that I loved him. Now he was mine. and I was proud to have him. But I did think people would judge us a little. He was supposed to be Ryder's mate, not mine.
I had Aries watched the babies for a little bit while Niles and I got ready. He was more than happy to. He loves getting as much time as possible with his babies. His mother was helping him, since she was home today. I almost felt like we took over her house. And she didn't seem home very often any more.

Niles and I took a bath and cleaned and shaved each other. Once we finished, as rubbed lotion all over each other's bodies. Then I went to my closet and began looking over our clothes. I glanced at Niles and then back at my clothes. I grabbed a couple crocheted halter tops. That had a beachy feel. Then I went over to my drawer and grabbed a couple cute little shorts. I will admit, my clothes were a little sluttier, but I loved looking sexy. Even when nobody noticed me, I wore extremely sexy clothes. It just makes me feel good about myself. Then I went to the closet and grabbed a couple cute sandals. I don't usually wear them, but they would look best for a beach theme. Handed Niles the clothes and began putting my own clothes on. I saw him looking at them with a bit of hesitation. "If you want me to find clothes that are more boyish, I can. I just like dressing sexy with you. However it's definitely not a requirement." Niles smiled. "No, it's fine. I like wearing your clothes. There's just so little of it." I burst out laughing. "Yes. But it's summer out. You don't want to cook do you?" I scoffed playfully. He grinned. "No, I definitely don't want to get cooked." I helped him tie the halter on then picked out a bunch of cute little bracelets for us both to wear. It had a bit of a BOGO, beach look when I was done. I put makeup on both of us, and did our hair. Niles hair was getting a bit long and seemed perfect for an androgynous hairdo. I looked him over then stopped. "Niles, take your underwear off. I already told you, it's an unnecessary accessory." I crossed my arms and playfully scolded. Niles blushed and shyly removed his underwear and pulled his skimpy shorts back up. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his exposed waist. "Perfect. You look perfect." I kissed his lips soft then pulled us both out of the bedroom. "Aries, do you need help with anything?" I asked rapping my arms around him. He was standing in the kitchen making a strawberry fluffy dessert. Niles came to Aries other side and looked up shyly at him. Aries smirked and wrapped his arm around Niles and brought him closer, making me smile. It had been a week since we had all mated, but Niles still felt like he was intruding on me and Aries time on occasion. Aries had assured him that he was as much Aries mate and I was now. And that he didn't need to be shy. But Niles still had moments of insecurity and Aries would have to pull him closer and include him. Aries was great about it too. It made me love him all the more. "No, I'm almost done. You both look beautiful. I don't know how I ended up with two perfect mates, I guess I was really blessed." I grinned up and him and a Niles smiled with the cutest pink blush on his cheeks. I sighed in happiness. "I love you Aries." He kissed my forehead and whispered "I love you too." Then looked at Niles. "I love you both. You guys are my everything." Niles blushed brighter and snuggled into Aries chest. "I think I love you too. I didn't think I could development feeling so fast, but you have been so good to me." His eye teared up. Aries kissed his lips and hugged him close. I smiled even bigger. This was my life and I couldn't be more happy. I heard a baby start crying, so I ran to them, not wanting to interrupt Aries and Niles moment. Of course it was Dylan. Needy little brat. I grabbed him and changed his diaper, then brought him to my breast. I was drying up fast, but he would get enough to be content for a bit. I went around the kitchen and began grabbing everything to make a few bottles for the babies while we were out. I placed everything in a cute diaper bag. When Dylan was content, I set him down and got the other kittens ready. Daphne was getting fussy so I brought her to my chest. I didn't think there was anything left for her, but it would be a good pacifier. I loved these babies. They were just the cutest. They were starting to get hair now. I was shocked to see that the two alphas had almost white hair, and the other two had their dads black locks. The twins were going to look so much like their dad, but they had my silvery blond hair, and probably complexion. Daphne looked a lot like the twins and would probably be a little female version of her dad. I wasn't sure how that would look, but I figured she would still be beautiful. It was just strange because he wasn't feminine at all. Then cute little Damon was going to be a spitting image of me, but with black hair. I looked forward to watching them grow. I was just gazing upon the kids when Aries walked up to me. "You ready to go?" I nodded and grabbed Demetrius and Damon. Niles grab Daphne and Dylan, and we all followed Aries down the dirt road toward the community center. I turned to Niles, "what are we going to do when when we have 6 babies that can't walk yet?"  Niles eyes bugged, "Fuck, I don't even know!" Aries turned to us, "what do you mean?" I smiled, "Niles is two months pregnant. Or is it two and a half?" Niles grinned, "two and a half. So in just over 6 months we will have a half dozen kids crying and making us rip our hair out." I burst out laughing and nodded. Aries look overwhelmed. "And did Ryder know this when he rejected you?" Niles nodded. "Of course. But even with pups on the way, it doesn't change the fact that we could have never truly found happiness together there was too much baggage and self-loathing, stopping Ryder from investing in our relationship." I nodded sadly.
Aries nodded. "We really need a bigger house. I just don't know how we will afford it" he sighed. I kissed his cheek. "Don't stress about it now. I'm sure something will work out."
Aries gave me a small smile and we continued walking. I turned to Niles, "I saw these cute little baby wraps, maybe we can hold three babies each that way." Niles smiled. "I'm sure we will figure it out."
When we got to the potluck everyone was watching us. I didn't love the attention. My cat likes to remain in the background. But I tried to ignore it and continued to talk to Niles and Aries. We sat down in a open spot on the grass and we were quickly surrounded by a bunch of teens. One omega boy, Timmy, got the courage to asked, "what's going on?" I looked at him confused. "What do you mean?" He sputtered a moment, "I mean, you came with Niles and Ryder came with Reagan." I smiled. "Oh. well, Reagan and Ryder love each other and Me and Niles love each other, so we decided it was best for everyone if they rejected each other and we both sought our own happiness. Aries loves both of us, and we love him. And Ryder still struggles with accepting that he's Bi, so it's easier for him to be mated with Reagan, and they are kind of great together. Everyone is happy, and nobody feels like they aren't enough." Niles nodded. "We don't hate each other, I don't think we even have hurt feelings really, it just wasn't meant to be." He shrugged.  Everyone looked shocked but held there tongue. What we did in our personal life was our business. One small male asked Niles shyly, " but can they really love you like Ryder could, or like they love each other? I would feel like a third wheel." I shrugged and answered for Niles. " I don't know, trikes are pretty handy, and more stable too. Aries is leading us, and we follow. Niles do you ever feel left out?" Niles smiled. " No, never. You both make it a point to include me in everything. Aries has been so great. He always pulls me close and shows me how important I am too him. He treats us both exactly the same. With love, tenderness and adoration." I smiled and nodded. "He's really amazing." I pulled out bottles and began feeding our kittens. Niles brought Demetrius to his breast. He wasn't dry yet, so he happily fed our most content babies. We liked to reward our babies for being less demanding. Not that they could change their personalities, obviously, we just don't want them to learn that they should be obnoxious if they wanted something. It wasn't a conscious decision, but it was working out that way.
"So, you think you can find as much happiness with a chosen mate as you can a goddess given mate?" Timmy asked. I sighed, "I don't think people should actively reject mates. I think we are brought together for a reason. But sometimes it's best to find someone else. Like if your mate is a drug addict or abusive, or your not going to be safe. It's hard but you can't let yourself put up with ill treatment. Because of Ryder's upbringing, he wasn't able to love Niles like he deserved. And he felt horrible about it, and he tried, but it just wasn't going to work out. If they had stayed together they would have both been miserable. If you have cases like that, cut your losses and find someone who can love you. Look at both of them now, they are both much happier. Aries and I both love Niles and we were happy to bring him into our mating. And Ryder and Reagan are both happy. We shouldn't cut ourselves off from the world, and waste away, just because our mating failed. Get back in the game and seek out your own happy ending. There are lots of people looking for love. And there are lots of mates who have more love to give. It's not the end of the world, it's a chance at a new beginning." I glanced up and saw that most of the pack had been quietly listening to me. Maybe this would be the beginning of a brand new era for our pack. I hoped everyone would find love and happiness.
Niles cuddled up into me and I put my arm around him. The fox spoke up. I think it was the first time I had ever actually talked to him, or seen him here. "Thank you for being such a good Luna. You give us all such good advice. But is Niles another Luna then?" I looked at Niles then glanced at Aries. He walked over and sat behind us, pulling both of us on his large, muscled lap. "What was the question, Markus?" The fox blushed and looked down shyly. "Is Niles our Luna too?" Aries grinned. "Yes, my mates are equal in every way. And Niles will make a great second Luna." I grinned and kissed Aries jaw. "Thank you, I didn't really know how all that works. The roll of Luna still evades me. I'm sure Niles will be really helpful in showing me all the ropes." I looked at Niles and he nodded shyly. "I'm sure he will. His mother was a Luna after all. I'm sure he has extensive knowledge on the topic." Aries stated, I grinned and nodded.
