"It's no big deal!" I told her off. I felt Christopher's eyes linger on me when we walked past him.

"I can't believe that Lola is at our school!" she pulls my arm causing me to stop walking while she crosses her arms and looks back at Lola in disgust while clenching her fists. She shook her head while staring directly at Lola and Christopher.

"What did Lola do to you?" I shruged my shoulders and tilted my head to the side with narrowed eyes. Why would Madison be mad at Lola for dating Christopher? I thought to myself.

"Lola and me were BEST FRIENDS in middle school, our parents would always go on vacation together and everything. But then she stabbed me in the back!" She put her hands on her hips while lowering her eyesbrows. She let out the biggest eyeroll I had seen.

I nodded my head to seem interested in her middle school drama, like for real we're in high school! That was years ago! Madison's face was as red as a tomato so I had to pull her away from the situation, I didn't want my new friend to be involved in a fight on my first day back.

"Have you seen Audrey?" I asked while biting my lower lip. Madison seemed to be confused at that question, did she not know who I was talking about? She let out a sigh and unclenched her jaw.

"I think she's sick." She wrinkled her nose while having a pout on her lips. She removed her arms from her hips and brought them to her chest while crossing her arms. I wonder what made her so upset about Audrey?

After class

Outside of the classroom door stood Aaron. He held a sign with the text "Will you go to the winter dance with me Daisy?" written on it. He had red roses in his left hands. His breathing was getting more and more rapid and he ran his fingers through his light brown hair when he saw me exiting the classroom door.

"Daisy? Will you go to the winter dance with me?" His voice was shaky but he had a huge smile on his face. I felt like the relationship was moving way to quick, like slow down we MET YESTERDAY!

"Of course I will." I smiled back at him and went up to hug him. He put his arms around my waist and kissed me on the cheek. He put his arm around my shoulder and started walking with me to the cafeteria.

If only he knew that I was engaged to Christopher and pregnant. I wonder how he will feel when I tell him about that... But that's a story for another day. Perhaps I'm not even engaged anymore, he likes that Lola girl now, I doubt he even wears his ring anymore.

"I have a better idea Aaron. Let's go have a picnic, I know the perfect place!" I ran towards the school exit. I heard Aaron running after me while chuckling. He barely could keep up and I was wearing heels! Well I do make a pretty good runner with heels, I even used to be on the track team.

We ran towards the field with daises that me and Christopher used to go to and we threw ourselves on the ground in relief when we got to the field. The field had high grass that was unkept and a bunch of daises.

Me and Aaron laid next to each other looking up at the bright blue sky with clouds floating around like huge marshmellows on the sky. I took out the lunch my mom packed from my backpack.

Mm my favorite! Pancakes with syrup and strawberries! Not long ago I couldn't eat the strawberries without counting calories. Did you know that one strawberry has 4 calories in it. Like it's nothing, it's basically air but I used to be so picky about it. I'm so happy that those times are over.

I feel Aaron's warm honey eyes gaze at me so I looked back and I caught him smiling at me.

"What are you looking at?" I giggled while stuffing a strawberry in my mouth.

"You. You're beautiful." He pulled me closer to his body and laid my head on his stomach. He started brushing through my light hair with his fingers.

"You weren't always a blonde, were you?" he asked me while taking a strawberry from my lunch box and putting it his smirky mouth.

"No I dyed it when me and uhm... Christopher ran away." I hadn't said his name in forever but it felt different this time actually. Not a happy name more like an usual name of a guy. Well a guy that I fell in love with.

In my heart this place will always be ours, Christopher but it's time to move on.
