"You didn't know?" The nurse crossed her arms and looked at me in disbelief, her french accent was so strong that I could barely understand her.
"You guys look pretty young anyways. How old are you?" she continued.
"17." He looked down at the plastic hospital floor.
The nurse stood with her mouth almost wide open. Her eyes were wide open as well and her eyebrows were raised.
"And you are in France alone without your parents?" she tried to make eye contact with him.
I couldn't let him answer that. So I decided to pretend to wake up. I let out a big yawn and raised my hands up in the air.
"Looks like she's awake, I will give you two a moment alone." the nurse closed the door behind her.
Christopher looked at me, he knew that I heard everything. A few moments of silence before either of us said anything. I wonder what he was thinking about. I want to keep it but I don't know if he wants to.
"So are we going home soon?" His eyes met mine, I had never seen him look so serious before.
"Sure but we need to talk about the baby as soon as we get home."
After he checked me out, the car that usually played our favorite tunes was quiet. The only thing you could hear was breathing, and the birds outside singing. None of us knew what to say. His arms were crossed, I could tell that he was uncomfortable.
When we got home, he just went up and kissed me on my forehead I now knew that everything was going to be okay, we didn't need to discuss it, we both knew that we wanted to keep it.
Later that day
I'm all cozed up with blankets and pillows in the bedroom. Suddenly I heard a noise downstairs. Christopher had gone to the grocery store just a few minutes ago, perhaps he had forgotten the car keys or something? I tiptopped down the stairs in only a large t-shirt.
"Did you forget the car keys?" I called out for Christopher.
When I had went down the stairs I saw two grown people sitting in the couch. They looked me up and down, it looked like they had been waiting for me. One of the people was a woman, she had the same ocean blue eyes as Christopher. Her hair was tied in a ponytail and she had black glasses on.
Next to her sat a man, he looked a bit older than her. He crossed his arms and had a pout on his face.
"Sit down, Daisy." the man said in a clear voice.
I sat down next to the woman, they both had a serious look on their face. Could this be Christopher's parents? I had never seen them before.
"We know all about you and Christopher. We're his parents, we tracked you guys down." the woman continued.
The woman let out a big yawn and rolled her eyes. Her jewelery was from Tiffany's and she smelt like an entire bottle of expensive perfume.
"I'm sorry." I looked down into the floor, I couldn't look into their eyes.
"We're not mad at you. This is his fault, your parents are on their way to pick you up and take you home." the man shook his head.
"You're never allowed to see him again, understood? He's getting married next month to someone of a wealthier family." the woman looked into my eyes, it felt like she looked into my soul.
I walked up the stairs for the last time to go and pack my stuff up. I looked outside the window and there Christopher was. I opened the window for him and went inside of the bedroom. He hugged me, a tear rolled down his face. He kissed me once again on my forehead.
"This is not the last time we'll meet. I will come back I promise." he said before exiting out of the window.
When I had packed my bag my parents were already downstairs waiting for me. They had large smiles on their faces. They ran towards me and hugged me. Only a few hours later I was on a flight back to the boring town that I never wanted to see again.
