Wings of Fire: Secrets in the Stars

Prologue

Deep inside the deep palace in the Kingdom of the Sea, lays the royal hatchery. A Seawing with blue and green scales snuck into the hatchery, past the sleeping guards and out of the room carrying an egg of a deep blue color.

Before the Seawing could leave the palace someone gently tapped his shoulder. The Seawing quickly turned around with fear in his eyes of being caught, only to see another Seawing with blue and turquoise scales wearing two necklaces around his neck and two earrings on his left ear.

With two emerald rings on his first back fin. The blue Seawing was carrying an egg in his talons. A blue egg with swirls of purple and black on it. He hands the egg to the blue and green Seawing, speaking to him in Aquatic.

'Take care of my son please, if the queen finds out about him I'll be in major trouble' the blue Seawing told the other. The other nodded and quickly left the palace doors into the ocean.

The blue and green Seawing came back to a mountain with a hidden entrance and walked into the entrance.

When he was inside he was greeted by a large red Skywing with a burn scar on her cheek, and a large Sandwing with only three legs and a badly injured wing. "What is the meaning of this!?" the Skywing roared at the Seawing, "The prophecy said a Seawing egg not eggs!" The Seawing stepped back a bit carefully not to drop the eggs in his talons. "Before I could leave another Seawing gave me the other egg I didn't grab it myself!" he shouted.

"Just put the deep blue egg with the other three eggs, Webs and put the other in a separate room we won't have enough room for it in the nest. We need for the Skywing egg once Hviter comes back with the egg" the Sandwing said to the Seawing.

Webs nodded and walked away into a cave that was lit up with some torches. He walked up to the small nest in the center of the room and placed the deep blue egg in it with the blood red egg, a golden colored egg, and a black egg with flakes of white covering it.

Webs walks away into a separate room to the right of the nest, he then walked to one end to grab some bedding for the lone blue egg. He quickly formed a nest in the center of the room and place the egg in it. As he walked out of the room he gave a faint smile at the egg.

It was the brightest night finally when Webs quickly came back with another egg, but not a Skywing egg. The red Skywing who's name is Kestrel got mad at him for bringing a Rainwing egg instead.

Webs explained why he got a Rainwing egg and not a Skywing egg. The Sandwing named Dune interrupted the two's fighting and told Webs to put the Rainwing egg with the others quickly.

He did so as the blood red egg hatched with a Mudwing coming out of it. The guardians talked about what his name should be, when they were talking the Mudwing dragonet went up to the deep blue Seawing egg as the Seawing started to hatch aswell.

He started to try breaking the egg before he was picked up by Kestrel and looked at her while the other two guardians were asking why the Mudwing started to attack the Seawing dragonet.

While Dune and Kestrel were talking about what the dragonets names should be Webs talked away to the separate room to see the other Seawing egg being showered by the three moons' light and the once black swirls covering the egg became an eerie silver white color.

That surprised Webs as he remember the egg having black and purple swirls instead of white and purple swirls. Another thing that surprised Webs was that the egg already hatched and there's nothing in it. He looked around to find the Seawing dragonet in the room, only to hear a faint sound of claws moving on the floor at a darkened corner of the room.

Webs walked over there and lit up some of his bioluminescent scales to see a Seawing dragonet with blackened eyes with sapphire irises. He also have black webbings, fins, and wing membrane. The black membrane had silver scales on it that look like stars and some large ones that formed into two constellations on each wing.

The dragonet also has an obsidian black color underbelly. He has blue little bit of a dark turquoise scales along with the electric blue bioluminescent scales over his body and on his gills too. He also saw a silver teardrop shaped scale at the corner of his eyes.

Webs brushed off the odd looking dragonet and smiled as he lit up some of his glowing scales saying, 'Hello Darksea' towards the dragonet. Webs picked Darksea up on his back and walked out to the other room to see that all the dragonets have hatched.

Darksea looked at the other dragonets and guardians, jumped off Webs' back and started to run into the other blue Seawing while making an odd chirping sound. The other Seawing dragonet let out a surprised yelp from Darksea running into her but quickly recovered and started to play with him.

Now the four dragonets joined in the play fight, Webs gave a quiet chuckle so the other guardians don't hear him. He looks at Darksea playing with the other after giving his chuckles and smiled.
